Does anyone keep having their account locked out?

I try to do a reset password which caused the account to be locked and asks you to ring up. I've typed in my password correctly, and then doing the reset password I put in my favourite place (or whatever it was) correctly - yet I still get locked out. This is the second time now.

Annoying this is that I have two accounts; one fixed term untouched, one ISA which is closed after transfer. The ISA is just not appearing and I want to see the balance there for my peace of mind. Doesn't help if they keep trying to lock me out!!

And I would hope I'm not the only one who is finding their passwords + reset password isn't working?
  • Mine has been locked out twice, but both times the reset has worked :S

Well, I can now access my account after doing a password reset, but it shows a zero balance! So the money is still in limboland (great word to describe the place, by the way)
  • Ms.TisforTesco's account is back now, also empty.
    Now we wait.

Well - I can now get into my Icesave ISA account, but it says zero balance and says it was opened yesterday! It lies!

Going by other posts, it's now a waiting game to see if my money resurfaces somewhere.

  • If it doesn't turn up tomorrow I'm going to start to worry

I'm sure that I am not alone (very very very sure) when I say that there is a bloody good reason why I had an easy access savings account and not a fixed term bond.... There are things that I need to get to my money for and now I'm going to be facing overdraft fees :(
  • I think it will be ok. I closed my account on Sunday and temporarily lost access to my account as a result. The money did not make it to my bank and the BACS transfer failed. Today, I finally managed to speak to the Icesave people after a 20 minute wait in the telephone queue (0845 605 6050). My account has now been reinstated and following a password reset I can now see my account. The money is still in limboland so the balance is showing as zero. However, I was reassured that in the next 2 days, the IT people will upload data to the internet accounts and the balance will be restored. She was even able to tell me from her system how much was in the account and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I have been credited with some interest since last Sunday....I just need to be able to get it now:rotfl: I think things will work out ok now. Spare a thought for the Brit employees at the call centre...good chance they will lose their jobs soon so be nice to them. As far as those thieves up in Iceland are concerned, they should go back to fishing as they clearly aren't up to the world of finance!!

    Icesave

Just to let people know, I transfered three accounts on Monday night, one account via Chaps (account remained open), two via Bacs (account were closed), I received the Chaps payment back in my account last night, including Chaps fee, and tonight I have had the Bacs payments returned and the closed accounts reinstated.

Everytime there has been a change to my account, I have had to re-set my password as it has not let me in, but the re-set is easy to do, they give you a 5 letter password & email you a 5 letter password, then you go in & set a new password and you have access to your account.
Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.

I closed my account on Sunday also - I have just been able to do a password reset by email - whereas before I got nowhere so I think the accounts are being re established though like others my balance is currently zero and showing as opened today..Given what others have been told by the help line, I am sure they will be updated in due course.
  • Just to let you know, my money is back in the icesave account. Still not sure about Ms.TisforTesco, but I'm sure it will be back soon if not already.

Now we await instuctions from the FSCS....
