Interesting thet Channel 4 and APACS referred to KE funds being in Iceland. Right or wrong? I think wrong unless they were swept up with KS&E.0

I certainly didn't ever agree to that.
Well in that case, let the FSA know that you'd like your money to be classed as having been in a bank that's gone bust and that instead of it going to ING, you'd like to wait a few months and reclaim it from the FSA scheme instead.0 -

error - KS&F that should be of course0

I think many people who have KE accounts also have ING accounts so wat about the license and the £50,000 safety net, I have both accounts and as soon as I see my cash again im going to have to take it out of ING as both savings pots will exceed the £50,000 limit. Haqs anyone else given this any thought?0

Probably not, but when you've got 1000s of calls and huge waiting times, they'll probably spending more effort and resources on the call queues to reassure people than actually processing!
Put it this way, if everyone on here was saying "I was on hold for 1 hour then got cutoff" I think that woud instill more panic rather than a call answered saying "You'll get it as soon as all the staff and managers are back at their own posts, not answering the phones"0 -
Thats not how it works - banks have dedicated 'processing teams'. They dont anser calls. Obviously internal policy not to process payments. I used to work in this area0

What have the dutch authorities got to do with it? They protect ING which hasn't gone bust, so no need to be worrying about that! If anything you're better off with the dutch because their compensation level is higher than the UK. If it did go under I'm sure the FSCS would handle it for us, like in Iceland
Anyway, I very much doubt an EU country would be able to take our money and then give us two fingers like Iceland!!!0 -
The problem is we all remember how the Icelandic gov renneged - were conserned that if ING bust the dutch could do the same and we would have no recourse with FSCS0
