I am a bit confused by this because it says compensation will be automatically transferred to ING. Does this mean that those with balances greater than 50k will lose out?

The mobile number that you gave has too many digits, so hopefully you can appraise yourself of this string for some additional info.

The important point for the News is that nobody here has yet recorded a successful transfer, or return to Kaupthing Edge account since Tuesday.

MSE forum members are owed AT LEAST £12.5 million with some individuals owed more than £0.5 million.

This is a pity for ING.

The !!!!-ups with BACS and CHAPS payments mean that accounts will closing faster than a forumula one car.

The lack of credibility of the passport scheme will mean more accounts flocking to full, UK £50K covered schemes.

Once credibility has gone, it's gone.

On a more personal note i'm a tad upset that i put lots of money in index linked savings accounts believing these were the only unlimited guaranteed accounts.

Now turns out that while the savings crisis reigns any account is as safe as gilts or National Savings.

I transfered 23k by BACS on the 7th (before 2pm) so the money should have entered my nominated account today.

Also have 33k with ICESAVE.

I just hope my money is safe ... I really need access to my savings as I need to pay bills etc. I will soon be overdrawn at this rate.

Just joined - same situation as most people, my KE CHAPS on Tuesday for £34k disappeared and my drinks cabinet has been doing the same ever since..._pale_.

Looks like it's finally resolved though I haven't seen the money yet. Like oql61's recent post, I guess 'The List' is pretty immaterial now, but thought I'd better add my name.

This thread & forum has been a great comfort in the last few days and even made me chuckle at times. Hope everybody has a happy ending soon!
