I am sure you are right bud. But by my quick reckoning that means you had circa £300k in your account (and the WORRIER, twice that).
Didn't you consider that a bit wreckless? The Icelandic banks have been flagged as being risky for many months. I only had money in there because I was confident in the £35k guarantee, but there is no way on the planet I would have had 300 grand in there..... unless I had 300 million somewhere else I suppose ;-)0 -
Please add me to the list too. I tried to transfer £100 from my KE account and £111 from my husband's on monday night by BACS. It's still not showing in our linked account. Not a huge amount I know but it's still our money!!0

First ever post. Please add me to the list: requested transfer out of KE on Sunday via BACS and as of this morning, nothing received. I find the lack of any formal communication (unless I've missed something?) from KE / ING regarding monies in transit an absolute disgrace.0

But, according to Martin we now have to claim back from Holland and not the UK - which must be more of a hassle.
And from which BACS transfer date out have we lost the transaction and money will be returned to ING/K-Edge?0 -

Whereas Icesave simply had transactions rejected and quickly showed back in the accounts on Wednesday, a bit more time was needed as ING are involved and the wish is to honour those transactions. That is why we are not seeing the 'reversals' ( even though that doesn't exist).
Although the accounts look as though they have been processed, they haven't. I do believe the statements that the transactions will start today. As mine was via BACS, it will be several days but I am confident thanks to apacs site.
A big thank you to Valleycommando for taking the time to join the forum and contribute. Much appreciated.
Must say, that`s the way I see it too.
ING has to be given time to sort the mess out.
The truly amazing thing is the swift action by Alistar Darling,he`s gone up in my estimation,no "dithering" this time.0 -

Add me to the list too, Asked for £2k out on Sunday 5th and still waiting. I wouldnt mind, but this is to pay off a credit card at the end of a 0% deal so I need it now. I'm not panicking by taking the whole lot out.0

Add me.
I think i'm one of the longest delays.
Ordered a CHAPS payment MONDAY, 11:30.
CHAPS processed and £27,000 deducted (+£20) from my Kaupthing account on Tuesday 7th October. Given the delay i assume that means Tuesday morning. Online statement still shows ref number (my nationwide account), id number etc
Still no sign in my linked Nationwide account, FRIDAY, 10th October, 08:47...0 -
My first post, it shows how important tbhis is to me!!!
I put through a CHAPS transfer out of my KE accouunt on Tuesday morning, which has not yet arrived at my linked account.
I have been on the phone to KE today, the advisor was reassuring, although I guess they have to take that particular line. He said that the outstanding transfers are all accounted for, and there will be an audit trail for these. Also, if the transfer is not effected, then the money will be credited back to the KE account, but the intention is to carry out the transfer.
Logically, I tell myself that they cannot just "lose" my money, but I don't like not knowing where it is!0 -
....
As to any doubts about ING: no, it isn't going bust. It has too much invested in crap Formula 1 teams and crap Formula 1 race track banners to do that.
Absolutely.
An I'm another with 30K in limbo between KE and ING - Needed the cash to complete a purchase.... haven't got it after a week... perhaps I can get a (whisper this very quietly) a LOAN from somwhere.... OMGThe 'Mad' refers to my state of mind, not my degree of anger.... (still crazy after all these years)0
