  • I have a problem developing here.

My credit card is due in the next few weeks, and i'm going on holiday in 2 weeks time. I had an ISA with Icesave, and kept the rest with KE temporarily. While i was ok with the Icesave issue (coz i knew i got it back), i brought the KE money back so i could have funds for my holiday. That's got stuck in the ether now and therefore i have nothing.

Anyone have any ideas rather than sulk around?

(PS, please add me to list)

At this rate we will be forming the Valleycommando appreciation society.
Lets all stay focused and remember there is no I in team. As this person is from my home town I would expect no less.

    Many thanks Valleycommando

I say we prepare a letter praising him, accompanied with our signatures and send it to his manager . That might just get him a bonus ;)

    Dear Mr ING Manager,

We are writing to say how appreciative we are of your employee Mr V. Commando, who has been excellent in keeping us up to date on the progress of our CHAPS transfers. Mr Commando (I expect you know him as Valley, or if you are friends with him, perhaps Val) has done a great job and as a result many of us are sticking with ING. Give the man a raise.

    Yours,

    Mobfant and Cheekykid

You should get the money by then, we hope, but if not - advance from work? Temporary loan from friends/family?
  • Can you add me to the list. I transferred my money by BACS on Tuesday morning, but don't expect anything yet.
  • FatDickie £1k plus 5 months interest Wednesday 8.30 no sign as yet

    KE account shows zero :(
Mortgage and totally Debt Free as of December 2008.

    boy does it feel good!
Thanks MSE for all the tips and advice
  • Knowing that Kaupthing Edge is in the relatively safe hands of ING, I am tempted to cancel my 'in progress' CHAPS payment. Does anyone know if it's possible to do this, as from my understanding ING will not start processing these transactions until tomorrow anyway?? So in theory I could call them up first thing tomorrow..?

Secondly, is there any clarity on whether existing Kaupthing Edge customers will be entitled to keep the same terms and conditions going forward (i.e. same monthly interest, unlimited withdrawels etc), or whether ING will eventually change the savings account to be more inline with their existing products?

Thanks to Valleycommando's assurances I think I will keep my money with ING/KE for the time being. :)
  • Also 50K chaps on Tues to linked account -debited Tues -but not received yet. I would think that as 30,000 people have viewed this thread that there are upward of 10,000 in a similar situation, but probably a whole bunch more.

I'm not on the list either ... 2 x BACS transfers on 7th and 8th.
    Wins since 2009 = £17,600

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS
