Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

Have just sent another email to ING re this fiasco, probably won't be read as they must be receiving thousands. Probably won't bother them either, but I mentioned to them that I am referring it to the FOS. That in itself, I know, is no threat to them, but it will cost them a £450 charge by the Ombudsman simply as a result of the referral being made. Just a thought (in desperation!), that they may not want to have to pay out lots of £450's if they don't have to.0

I'm so sorry for you poor souls still waiting for your money. I keep checking in to see if you have any good news.
A minor question: Does anybody else still have some money in KE (now ING) that they haven't yet tried to transfer out, but now want to do so? I was one of the lucky ones and received most of mine on Fri after requesting it on 7th, but I still do have a smaller amount of money left to transfer. Just wondering when it would be safe to try. I really have had enough of them with all this fiasco.
I had 10K still sitting in KE account which I BACS transferred in two sums Fri 17 and today. I figured if it was BACS my HSBC bank would be able to see it the day before it arrived! I will update you and let you know if and when it arrives! Not leaving my money in ING not the way weve all been treated!CHAPS 8th received 20th into HSBC A/CBACS on the 17th and 20th received 22nd into HSBC A/CCHAPS fee refunded 29/10I can survive any crisis - I have kids!!0 -

This is rubbish!
18 days I have been waiting for my money and still nothing!0 -
I guess the last hope for today for you guys is that the money reached your banks so late on Fri that your own banks didn't have the time to process them. There is a manual bit they have to do when they come in before they appear in your accounts. Nationwide told me for it to arrive in accounts via CHAPS same day, they needed to receive it from ING by 1pm Fri. So if nothing heard by midday, i would assume this is not the case and something has gone badly wrong somewhere.0

Sorry,,,10-66 your post has disappeared but...
I was really talking about the automated CHAPS people not "manual transaction" folks - I do understand there are people in that situation too and I feel for all of you, Although automated, the final part of the CHAPS process does have to be done manually. Your receiving bank have to do some manual processing once the money reaches them and until they have done it, it won't show up in your account. Nationwide told me on Fri that if my money was sent CHAPS, they need it by 1pm for them to have the afternoon to process it and for it to show up same day. It is perfectly feasible that they didn't arrive till mid afternoon and the receiving banks need 1/2 a day to do their bit.0
