The more I look at the ING email the more I am convinced it is complete BS designed to stall withdrawals while they blackmail the Dutch government into refinacing them.
The email is wrong on two counts that I can see:
1) It addresses me as if I made an unsuccessful transaction before KE went down. I didn't though as I was in hospital at that time. My transaction was made well after the ING takeover - last Sunday.
2)My transaction is referred to as being manual whereas it was online by BACS.
Anyway, how do we know whether 95% of transactions are now complete? My guess is this may be BS too.
They seem to think they can put me on hold with this rubbish email and not even give me a vague indication of when my payment will now go through. They are now clearly in default an if the FSCS can't sort it out tomorrow my only other recourse I suppose will be to law.0 -

So, I'm all right, Jack....?

phew - now that oldman has voiced his approval of Ing I'm sure their losses and need for capitalisation will all be forgotten. Confidence will flow back into this enterprise with such a ringing (and no doubt informed) endorsement.
All that remains is to update the corporate marketing info with the copper bottomed 'ok by me' strap.

I'm so sorry for you poor souls still waiting for your money. I keep checking in to see if you have any good news.
A minor question: Does anybody else still have some money in KE (now ING) that they haven't yet tried to transfer out, but now want to do so? I was one of the lucky ones and received most of mine on Fri after requesting it on 7th, but I still do have a smaller amount of money left to transfer. Just wondering when it would be safe to try. I really have had enough of them with all this fiasco.0 -

I would like to try & withdraw some cash. I don't have the cofidence to do so as yet - Despite repeated requests from ING to clirify without replay!
Oldman however, doesn't seem to have a problem withdrawing his cash......He gets his on record time!! :rolleyes:Non illigitamus carborundum!!0 -

Like this comment from someone on Housepricecrash -The thing with these banks is, they all put out messages saying we're fine, we are doing really well. Chuck out a load of figures saying we have liquid assets of 100 billion bla bla
2 days later, "we've gone tits up"
I've been trying to get my funds out of ING for over a week now. Not out of KE, but out of the bank who purchased KE's assets under Treasury supervision. So they have the money. And they have computers linked to the BACS system capable of checking my account for the balance and then making an automatic transfer to the nominated account, the sort of thing that happens millions of times a day without human intervention. As everybody points out, they are a big bank.Transfer money is what banks do. So can I ask the simple question, what are they up to? Do they think we will be so damn grateful for the eventual return of our cash that no-one will complain if they sit on it for a week and raise some extra revenue out of it? Either that or they have serious problems. I've had CHAPS payments screwed up by Barclays before, but never BACS payment which are automated.0 -

Yes, I've still got a few hundred in KE but am not sure what to do about it yet, I'll wait to see if the rest turns up first!0
