re the latest email that seems to be being received - the person on motley (fresh57) who received it has says this
"My wife made her request by BACS on 12/10. I did mine on 13/10 also by BACS. seeing as the 12th was a Sunday, both the requests would not be actioned until the 13th. Any ideas???"
so are the emails only being received by people after the 8th???0 -
Time for bed, said Zebedee
And a JD
It’s been a long day, since getting up early to watch the F1
I’ve watched bits of Independence Day on about 6 different occasions and never seen it all the way through. I’ve missed most of it, yet again but intend catching the end tonight.
I’ll leave you with the Trolls

You do not have to view this thread if you do not want to, and I certainly do not wish for anybody to feel sorry for me.
This thread is for the exchange of information between people caught up in the administration of KE, and any constructive comments are obviously also welcomed from anybody else who is not directly involved.
I for one do not consider that I caused a run on the bank, call me naive if you want to, but I was not aware of the dificulty that KE was in at the time of requesting my transfer.
If we are upsetting you, please stop reading this thread!!0 -
Got a response to my post on Motley Fool:

Hi chilledout50
My wife made her request by BACS on 12/10. I did mine on 13/10 also by BACS.
So again BACS well after the ING takeover0 -
I just got this email from ING confirming late transaction;
"Dear Customer
Over the past week ING Direct has been working with the Administrators of Kaupthing Edge to clear a backlog of payment instructions that were not able to be completed when Kaupthing Edge encountered difficulties.
While we have now processed over 95% of these payments, I am sorry to inform you that we are still working on a number of manual payment instructions, including the withdrawal request that you have made.
I do understand that the continuing delay is frustrating and I wanted to reassure you that my team is working with the Administrators to resolve the outstanding payment issues.
I appreciate your continued patience and I will contact you again shortly to confirm when the payments will be made.
Yours sincerely"
So I don't think Monay will bring me my £34K (requested by BACS on 11th Oct).
Mark

I have received this email too - I requested £9k online by BACS on 11 October just the same as Mark.
It doesn't sound too promising when they aren't even attempting to give us date for payment.

Thanks to all on forum for support over the past week.0 -
I received one of these emails today. Annoying really because when I phoned ING on Friday I was categorically assured my that all payments had gone through as promised, that my payment had definitely been made and the only reason it was not showing in my account was that my own bank had not yet processed it. I then made two calls to my bank. I feel that my time is being wasted now, not only my money.
The email says "While we have now processed over 95% of these payments, I am sorry to inform you that we are still working on a number of manual payment instructions, including the withdrawal request that you have made."Yet my payment instruction was not manual at all, but online (BACS), where the 'A' stands for automated.
This is getting really stressful for me now and it is irrelevant to me that 95% are not in the same boat.
The news about ING is not exactly reassuring, though the significance is impossible to guess.
I shall be phoning ING first thing in the morning and if they are not prepared to put an immediate CHAPS payment through (at their expense) and guarantee it for the same day then I will have to assume that they too are going down the pan and make an immediate formal approach to the FSCS, for what it's worth. This has now gone beyond a joke as far as I'm concerned.

Amazing that they managed to pull together a deal like that in the 2-3 days from the start of the 'run on KE' that caused them to collapse......
Just a reminder that this is OUR money. We did nothing wrong by requesting it back from an INSTANT ACCESS account.
Personally I am living off my savings, I'd just heard that half my savings (Icesave) were gone for the foreseeable future and I have bills to pay so I don't apologise for trying to get hold of the rest of MY money. I requested my money on the morning of the 8th Oct and they were taken over at lunchtime that day so I somehow doubt my actions had anything to do with it.0 -
I'm off to bed - I think the main thing is we stick together - so I'm happy to go along with the majority in terms of what time to involve different people tomorrow. Anyone who is still up - try to get some rest tonight - see you tomorrow!KE veteran - life seemed so much simpler then!0

It sounds to me that there might be some cut off date that is deemed post administration and these won't be dealt with on the KE systems but maybe transferred to the ING system and then processed - but i am just guessing.0
