  • I'm off to bed - I think the main thing is we stick together - so I'm happy to go along with the majority in terms of what time to involve different people tomorrow. Anyone who is still up - try to get some rest tonight - see you tomorrow!

Stick together we shall ;-) I'm up at 5am and will probably not get on untill the evening. I am however, seeking assurances from ING that my account will be fully accessable in the near future - At present, I don't feel in any way confident that I can make withdrawal .....

Just a reminder that there are some people that have funds still held within this (ING) organisation outwith the recent transfer requests - And we want it back!! ;-)

  • It affects me in as much as I had a substantial sum (imho) with KE. I did not join the queue of "runners" who brought this situation about, and I am fed up with those that did wanting to do the same with ING.

You say "had" a substantial sum with KE - Would that mean that this sum is now elsewhere??

Something to be clear on here is that I personally have no confidence in ING whatsoever at this time & would like the opportunity to decide where I would like to invest my savings!.........Is that wrong (iyho)???

    Hi Chilledout50
Thought I'd better do - a bit more activity on here - thanks for the tip. Your theory on why we've received these emails makes sense. "It sounds to me that there might be some cut off date that is deemed post administration and these won't be dealt with on the KE systems but maybe transferred to the ING system and then processed - but i am just guessing."
Will you sleep tonight - don't think I will.

You do not have to view this thread if you do not want to, and I certainly do not wish for anybody to feel sorry for me.

This thread is for the exchange of information between people caught up in the administration of KE, and any constructive comments are obviously also welcomed from anybody else who is not directly involved.

I for one do not consider that I caused a run on the bank, call me naive if you want to, but I was not aware of the dificulty that KE was in at the time of requesting my transfer.

If we are upsetting you, please stop reading this thread!!

Well said - I think the collapse of Glitnir and Icesave parent bank had more to do with starting the run on KE ...

The more I look at the ING email the more I am convinced it is complete BS designed to stall withdrawals while they blackmail the Dutch government into refinacing them.

The email is wrong on two counts that I can see:
    1) It addresses me as if I made an unsuccessful transaction before KE went down. I didn't though as I was in hospital at that time. My transaction was made well after the ING takeover - last Sunday.
2)My transaction is referred to as being manual whereas it was online by BACS.

Anyway, how do we know whether 95% of transactions are now complete? My guess is this may be BS too.

They seem to think they can put me on hold with this rubbish email and not even give me a vague indication of when my payment will now go through. They are now clearly in default an if the FSCS can't sort it out tomorrow my only other recourse I suppose will be to law.
  • Fresh57 - i replied to your last message on motley, but guess you have closed this now. Try not to loose sleep over it, it doesn't help. I am sure it will be ok in the end but i agree you can't help worrying about it.

I 2nd that!........I also never made a run on KE as I requested a wthdrawel (nominal ammount) by BACS on the 5th............Even before Icesave went down

Now, all I want is the confidence that I can access my account & decide what I do with the remander of my savings

  • I had a substantial sum with KE. The same sum, less £200 is now with ING. I did NOT join the queue of runners and do not intend to do so. You have no confidence in ING, that's your perrogative. You obviously had confidence in KE which evaporated when the run started so get with the world and see what you and your "runner" compatriots are actually doing.

    Please read my last post!!!
