Thanks, Luke. It was BACS U requested but I am sure it came thru CHAPS.

2 transfers just received in HSBC linked account ~ 1 requested early a.m. 07/10 (£15K) and the other late p.m. 07/10 (£19.9K) both from KE as BACS :j

So all as promised by Ing Direct :A to whom I am grateful . . .

Left KE/Ing a/c Open with £100 to see if interest is eventually added as promised ~ if so will consider putting some back with Ing . . . meantime B&B ? at 6.51% for returned savings ?

Clearing your a/c to zero balance will not automatically close it - don't forget there will be some days of interest as yet unshown until the ned of the month (ned??? I meant end).... To close the a/c you will have to give explicit instructions to the bank - either by 'phone or, more likely, in writing.

Just rung ING.and also my bank Halifax.Halifax close of business is 5.00pm and they apparently can't see pending transactions..Bloke at Ing said if your moneys not in (which it ISN,T) it will go in on Monday!!!! AARRGGGHHHHHHI Quoted the website notice and e mails sent to me so he went away to consult someone?? Came back with same answer but said customer services open til ten if i wanted to speak to somebody if money still hadn't arrived.Getting really cheesed off nowto put it politely.
