  • Nothing yet through Lloyds from BACS done last wed 8th pm.

Thought this site had been closed - no posts for over 10 mins!
  • I just phoned HSBC - annoyingly their system appears to be down since I entered all my details during the automated welcome bit and the lady who I was transferred to thought I was Mr Murphy (which I am not - I am a lady (*said in Little Britain style*) for a start).

I was tempted to ask if Mr Murphy had received any funds from KE just out of interest.

I did wonder about getting some sort of claim in once this is all over - I lost out on buying a property I had been waiting on for months at auction earlier this week. The stress has definately affected my health (mental + physical) for sure. On the other hand maybe forgetting about the whole thing would be best.

I am not the claiming type.....and I am also a firm believer in forgive and forget........I am sure most of us will receive our money today. We also know some of us will not. Could be anyone of us, and even they will soon get it. Will need to take it with ING thats all come Monday.
The claims for damages for loss of this or that....well I am sure there could be some basis for that, first against Kaupthing for the original default, butr theyre not trading. Against our FSA...perhaps agianst ING, prhaps.....for not doing enough!......I dont know. I am no lawyer, and am not sober either! I dont want to think about it.

Transferred £58.16 by BACS on Thurs 9th Oct before 1pm-just appeared in RBS account today 17th Oct. Transferred £500 by BACS on Tues14th Oct before 1pm-it's showing on Kaupthing as leaving the following day but hasn't appeared in RBS yet. So things are moving- slowly- but I also need a large amount out before the end of the month to pay off a 0% credit card-unless my new Abbey zero card transfers in time of course! Thanks to everyone on this thread for all the up-to-date info.Fingers crossed things will go faster very soon ....

LOL !!! No, I was one of the fortunate ones who actually got settlement LAST Friday. I'm only staying on the forum to inject a subtle amount of levity in these dark times that are so worrying for others yet to receive their monies!

Early October, Icesave Bank melted away
Kaupthing Edge dived the very next day
But Gordon Brown, hearing of our plight
Moved our savings to ING by the end of the night
Since then empty promises from I N G
Friday - told to wait and see
So come through for us ING without delay
And pay us our savings back today
