For BACS payments: If something has been set up to credit people's account tomorrow, then the receiving bank should be able to see that payment on the way.
For CHAPS payments: They have zero visibility or advance warning of those, they simply just arrive.
Don't know for certain if this is the case for all banks or even if it's correct but I thought I'd pass it on. He seemed pretty sure of his facts.
I made a CHAPS payment, so if ING stick with that it could arrive anytime between now and tomorrow night.
I just had a conversation with Nat West and was told the same thing.0 -

BACS will show, CHAPS will not because it is done the same day. If you sent money today by CHAPS, in theory it will hit the receiving account today, you would not see it on pending transactions yesterday if you get my drift.Yeah, cheers but nah, I will stick with yes, thank you and no.
