• Does anybody want to take a bet that most payments will actually NOT arrive by Friday. I just have a gut feeling. Having not been entirely honest and upfront with us to date, why should now be any different. I reckon we have all been shut up for a few days.

Go on - somebody take my bet. I need to make back some money somehow!!!

ps Just got my email. Southerner, surname G

I am surprised no-one has picked up on the line "There are a very small number of manual payment instructions which are still being processed and will take slightly longer."

Given that no-one (across KE's entire customer base) has been able to complete any normal withdrawals since after the ING takeover, doesn't the commitment to Friday refer to them? i.e. people with "normal" tranactions they want to process.

Are we not the "very small number of customers"? i.e. those caught on the cusp of the takeover, with transactions in flight? Isn't it likely that when your money is half transfered and half not (i.e. debited, but not credited) that this will require some manual intervention and will take "slightly longer".

I am not expecting on any money by Friday! (Sadly)

LOL - I think the small number of customers they refer to takes into account the total number of INGs customers worldwide. We are but a mere fraction!

• I'm a southerner starting with C, no email so far. Maybe they're doing it in numerical order based on account numbers?

Now if you'd all just like to forward me your account details so I can check my theory....

Many people picked up on that, ""There are a very small number of manual payment instructions which are still being processed and will take slightly longer."

Line if you read back a few pages....
• The money will be in accounts by friday in most cases.. People on here have been annoyed rightly or wrongly with ING's approach so far.
Shutting people up for a few days makes no sense because the anger will be twice as bad come friday.. The fact that they have made official statements (on their website) and the fact it has been reported on the BBC website should reassure everyone that this is for real and money will be in linked accounts come close of business friday..

Comments to the contrary is just scaremongering or plain negativity to which enough has been posted already.. I'm just looking forward to seeing my money in my account before the weekend where some will be spent on drinks no doubt!!
• Was it us lot that started the run on this bank?.....and is that why we are where we are?
I made my first withdrawal on Monday 6th, which eventually came thru on Fri 10th. My son made a major withdrawal in a panic on tuesday, and my wife on the Wed. These are stuck in the system. Really we'd have been better off leaving it all there and be covered by the FSCS 50k guarantee. My son has 65 k stuck with icesave, but that will be returned at some time by our FSCS.
