After hanging on the line for 20 mins, I spoke to Anita, who acknowledged that they were getting many calls on the subject of missing transfers, but advised me that it SHOULD be OK. When pressed, she admitted that she didn't really know what the situation was, wasn't aware if the guarantees applied to money in transit, and accepted my point that they should put a notification on the website clarifying this missing transfer situation. Also promised to pass that request on to her supervisors.

Do I feel happier after speaking to her? Not in the slightest.......

I requested CHAPS transfer on Monday 3 pm. Told it would be done on Tuesday. It is down as having left KE on Tuesday but hasn't turned up yet. Just another one on the list.....

Sorry can I ask have people been able (in theory at least!) to take the money out of the term bonds? I thought these were locked in till their due date?

I'm hoping that if the CHAPS payments request yesterday was not processed because of the handover to ING Direct then the money will reappear in my KE account soon. I just want my money to come out of hiding.

It was the same with NR when the panic hit-you couldnt even get the website up, let alone transfer money.

Add me please. 3 of us, me, my wife and my son have made transfers out. None have materialised yet. Our life savings are involved.

Yep CHAPSed 22K on 7th thinking i was in advance of any trouble and it has still not got to my account, cant get hold of anyone and YES i will be painiking on Monday if not Friday, some of us small savers have bills to pay..... THEFT is what I call it. And they took their cheeky £20 when they must have know it wasnt going straight over. What I really want to know is the LEGAL status of my money and WHO has responsibility as it doesnt show on KE and it doesnt show on my other Account AND it was transfered before ING took over on the 8th. That Worries Me...

I made a CHAPS transfer out on the 8th Oct, and it's not showing either. I truly believed KE was safe, and now I'm very worried for my savings.
Surely it should leave the accounts immediately with CHAPS, they didn't hesistate, as with other to debit the £20 fee immediately, and show the money gone, but where is it?!
