Kaupthing Edge CHAPS Transfer

looks as if no CHAPS were really actioned on wednesday 8th take over day as the last reported successful transfer was on Tuesday pm as reported above in the thread.
any advances?

Like the rest of you I have 'missing' money. I transferred a small amount of money on Monday (just a normal transfer to cover my living expenses as I'm on maternity leave, hadn't started to panic at that point), this was a BACS transfer. All the money I have was in either Icesave or KE so when Icesave went I panicked a bit and did a CHAPs transfer at about 8am yesterday morning. Called Abbey this morning and there's no sign in the system of either the BACS or the CHAPs transfer.
Both of the transfers are gone from my KE account (including the £20 charge) and showed up my KE statement almost immediatley.
If Abbey could see it somewhere in the distance I'd feel okay but as it is......

I'm sure the CSA's are just script reading and are just telling people who've got through what they have been told to.
My guess is the Mon/Tues BACS withdrawals haven't been even been actioned, but I'd prefer to see the money back in the account than just disappeared, and an explanation would save all this worry.
Withdrew 10k by BACS Tuesday at 1pm. Left KE immediately. Printed transaction. Fear it's in limbo.
Only set the flippin' account up the week before!!!! Money into KE Monday 6th and out again on Tuesday 7th.

Hi,

I am in the same boat. I made a transfer from KE on Sunday eve/ Monday morning and it has yet to appear.

Worse of all its showing as its left my KE account :mad:

Does any one any idea of how long this may take.

Just got through to them on the phone. The official line is that all money has left Kaupthing when requested, it will not bounce back as it did with Icesave. The money is with the Chaps clearing bank which is inundated with requests and they are working through the backlog. I wished the pleasant young lady all the best for her job, which is still a worry for her.

Good work mjmal51, I haven't been able to get through at all. So technically none of the money is frozen?

Add my husband and myself to the list. Having got fairly substantial amounts locked up in Icesave and not wanting the same to happen with KE funds, we both did significant CHAPS transfers Wed am and both our KE accounts show the money as 'Transfer' and the £20 fee debited. Nothing in the linked accounts yet. Hoping the delay is just volume and backlogt. If we'd known that ING were taking over within 2 hours we might have left it, now it is out of sight.

I also transfered £10K from Icesave on Monday am by BACS - nothing received yet!
Just checked this account and money has been recredited - so a relief in that I can see the amount.

Fingers crossed we will get some clear information soon.
