It's exactly a week now since I asked for the money by BACS.
My KE has shown a nil balance since then.

This is unacceptable. I wouldn't mind if they'd bounced the money back into my KE account at least I'd know it was still there.

I hope ING are doing their best (I'm sure they are) but it doesn't really help people when people who transfered money a week yesterday have got their money, and now no money is being returned to any1....

I'm trying to remain calm about the situation and I'm sure we'll get the money... but I won't rest until I have the money secured.

    Cheers, Arwel :p

There are thousands of us all in the same boat!!

I see no change, still no CHAPS from the 7-10. That's a week now. I see that the BBC Panorama programme are putting together a schedule for Thursday 16th, and are asking for questions, I suggest we all contact them regarding our missing money, link is here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/panorama/7667716.stm

They are only taking questions DURING the program !!
  • This is my post from late yesterday.
Just finished my call with Rachel, one of ING Direct's supervisors.

What did I find out? Diddly Squat!

They won't answer the question about why they haven't done transfers today, although they claim that they have done them.

Wouldn't answer how many they'd done if they had actually done them.

This is jillyc's post from a few minutes ago.
Just had a chat with Rachel (ING Customer Relations), she admitted that payments hadn't been made to people yesterday but did not know why...
Still think they're not lying to us...??
  • I have just phoned my bank to ask if there were any bacs payments due to come in tomorrow and they have said no. I transferred £35000 from KE on Monday at 14.25 hrs so missed the deadline for Monday by 25 mins. It went from my KE account first thing Tuesday morning. So it does not look good for tomorrow.
Why has Martin not got involved? Surely he could get the necessary TV coverage with his connections. Perhaps now he has made his pile he needn't worry about those of us that helped him get there!!
I am very disappointed in his lack of commitment to so many of his loyal MSE correspondents.
Enjoy your money Martin because I will enjoy mine when I eventually get it and it will be no thanks to you. You have been a great disappointment to many of us.
Good luck to all the people waiting for there dosh.
    Regards

  • i think that we don't know what's going on on, and neither do they!!!

I arranged for interest that had been added to my fixed term maturing yesterday to leave my KE savings this morning. I printed out the withdrawal on sunday but as yet it hasn't even vanished from my KE savings account let alone joined the rest of the money in the ether

    Why is it Martins fault?

He gave a tip, you followed it with your eyes wide open!

As adults we are responsible for our own actions. This is very unfortunate, but this scenario could have been a lot worse!

Just spoken to a manager at ING who says he'll escalate my case to board level.

If I don't get anything positive about what's going on today - then I'll escalate to the next level.

Where is Martin, what is he doing about this? Sadly his last update looks like his swallowed up the latest ING/KE spin about where our money is.

MARTIN - IT'S NOT HAPPENING, WE ARE NOT GETTING OUR MONEY BACK - PLEASE HELP US!

That "manager" is taking the P!ss out of you. :o

Erm, I think what the user is saying is that since we have been told we will get our money, nothing has happened and I have to agree - with Martin's connections in the media he should be ensuring MORE is going on - it's just not happening, and it's not on.

Yes I put my money in there, I accept that - but the least he could be doing right now is shaming them in to action, much like the bank charges the PPI.

People are missing REAL money here, this is not about making sound decissions or advice anymore REAL money is missing!!!
