If they began chaps at 6 then we should be getting money around now - but if they began later say at 9 we wont til about 1 or 2pm.....

i asked for my money on the 7th Oct befroe 2pm....

arranged a transfer of funds from my kaupthing account via bacs at 09.40 on 06/10/2008.

money finally arrived to my barclays linked account on friday the 10th.

hope this helps to give people a timescale!

Exact same time as mine hometune, lets hope we see it today sometime. We need to put this behind us ASAP. I know we'll get our money, but untill it we do, there is always that nagging doubt.

Just to reiterate for those that haven't fully followed the thread, the money that came through on Friday seemed to from people (like myself) who made BACS transfers early on, mostly over last weekend or even before, so it would seem they're most likely to be working through things in date/time order.

Its also worth remembering that it seems like the only CHAPS transfers caught up in the "black hole" were those requested on Tuesday or later, earlier CHAPS done on Monday etc got the money out before the account freeze. Although I may be wrong as I have no inside info on how ING are handling this, I think its most likely that the remaining BACS transfers from Monday will start coming through before any Tuesday (or Wednesday) transactions, so its quite possible that later transactions may not appear today anyway.

I requested a transfer 6/10 but it didn't come out of my account till 7/10. I have phoned ING this morning to ask where they were in the clearing of the backlog and when I could possibly expect my money ...they said no information phone KE ...KE said no information as ING dealing with it ... I feel like a ping-pong ball.
All I can say is as I am not earning interest ...but someone is by holding on to our money a bit longer ...helps recoup some of their losses eh??
