Grabbed a copy of the Guardian, and popped into Starbucks on the way to work....
Got a Venti (Large) White Caffe Mocha, with a shot of Caramel, and topped with whipped cream!!
Should have cost £3.60
Brilliant bargain!! Has put me in a good mood for the rest of the day!
Many thanks OP xxx0 -
Brilliant result today, had a venti vanilla latte and the barista said to me to remember to get the guardian next week as well to get another!! Obviously depends on which store you go to to get the most out of this offer. :T0

It was lovely, and I think always tastes better when it's a bargain
but yes if you like a bit of sweetness without adding the sugar then go for the vanilla everytime. I totally agree with you about the hazlenut, not their best syrup _pale_

OH went into Brum city centre S.bucks and was told it was Tall size only, queired the T & C's and said it does not say "tall only" and was told by the barrista that it should have done.....
i think it varies from store to store......
Went to the same one about 12 today and had a Large. Maybe it varies from barrista to barrista0 -

Surely the spirit of MSE is to save money, but also spread the word so everyone can benefit. Well one person taking all the coupons out of their library copies is not spreading the benefit. They are the only one to benefit. What about the poor old sod who cannot afford to buy a paper to read in the first place, and goes to the library to read it for free - as he should be entitled to.
There are plenty of cafes etc that have papers to read, so if it is 'no big deal' - Ask if you can take the coupon. If you have to take it secretly without asking, well surely you know you are doing something wrong
Also, Libraries don't just throw their papers out every day, but have to keep them often for weeks afterward, so they can be referred back to by staff and public.
I think Libraries are a fantastic, much undervalued resource. I used to love buying books, then when money got tight I would buy second hand, now I just borrow from the library. Apart from Papers, periodicals and magazines, they also have cd's, dvd's talking books and free internet access. Mine are open 6 days a week, and several nights until 8pm. School children have facilites to study and even print out their homework for free, there is photocopying facilities, and virtually any book you want can be ordered.
I think Libraries are brilliant, and if things get as bad with this credit crunch as they predict, I think we will all soon end up down there keeping warm and passing round the newspapers
p.s I bought my paper using a MOC in Tescos, and had a free Venti Cappuccino in the Starbucks in Borders. Also read their free papers while I was in there, and caught up on all the local news. The Guardian should keep me going for the rest of the week:D0 -
I got my favourite white chocolate mocha at the Liverpool Bold St branch; I didn't see anyon else using MOCs there. I only asked for a medium though, as it's a very creamy and sweet drink and I thought the large would be overkill!! No problems at all...I even got whipped cream on top. Thanks so much to MSE for sharing this with us as I wouldn't have known about the offer otherwise. Can't wait til next Friday.0

FALSE! they have jugs with diff names on and they use full fat (labelled: whole milk)for standard and only use semi, skimmed and soya if asked. so a skinny would be semi.
Depends on where you are then, cos in all my local Starbies (I live within a 5 minute walk of 9 of them at last count!) they ALL use semi-skimmed as regular and skimmed as skinny... I can't drink full fat, so it's something I always ask...April Grocery Challenge £81/£1200 -
The union shop near any uni should sell the guardian for that price and you don't need to be a student
So the student union shops are all situated NEAR the universities rather than on the premises? Anyone knows the unis in the London area, where you can get discouted newspapers? I will do some research online after posting this. There might be a list of addresses of union shops covering the whole of the UK. I'll let you know if I find out.0 -

syrups is 3 for small, 4 for medium and 5 for large. i find 5 deadly so always get 4 for a large.
same with choc... sum places put way too much in regardless of the size!0 -

There's always a downside.......0
