80p for any Starbucks coffee, any size!

Options
What’s the deal?

The Guardian is giving away a free Starbucks coffee voucher, every Friday until 24 October. It’s valid on any coffee any size on the day only, so you could grab a fancy £3.30 coffee for just 80p.

How to get your coffee

Simply pick up a copy of the Guardian (80p) on Friday 10, 17 or 24 October. The paper’s confirmed that there will be a voucher, entitling you to a free Starbucks, valid for that day only.

What can you get?

The beauty is it’s valid on any ‘espresso based drink’ of any size (tall, grande or venti). So, for example, you could get a £3.30 Caramel Macchiato for a just quarter of the price.

Thanks to froglet in the newspaper thread for originally spotting this deal; this new note was created so we could give MoneySavers the full lowdown.

it’s valid on any ‘espresso based drink’, so yes I'm afraid it would have to be coffee

I got a light frappacino a couple of weeks ago. I guess you'd count that as coffee because it's "espresso based," but it's not exactly what I think of as coffee. Basically, you can get free any drink other than bottled water or soft drinks (do they even sell those there -- my trip Friday was the first time I'd been there in years).
  • If this is the same as the last time they did it (a couple of weeks ago) the voucher will be the entire back page of the Guardian - my dad managed to get 3 (maybe, 4, I can't remember) free coffees in one day by asking each time if he could keep the page "because he hadn't finished the crossword" (I think this was actually true the first time). Maybe not good for the health, but certainly good for the bank balance!

As sharpei31 says, Starbucks have recently been criticised for their policy of leaving their taps on all day in every one of their 10,000 stores around the world.

I'll take advantage of this offer but I won't be buying anything from them while they continue to have a policy of wasting 23 million litres of water per day.

    Hi

For one month of half price vouchers go to:

    http://www.guardianmarketing.co.uk/offer.html

This brings the £3.30 Starboucks coffee down from 80p (still a good price) to just 40p.

    Enjoy
