Starbucks have caught on to this already and staff are told to draw a line through the voucher after use... but dont forget your free coffee refill available all day every day everywhere! If this is the same as the last time they did it (a couple of weeks ago) the voucher will be the entire back page of the Guardian - my dad managed to get 3 (maybe, 4, I can't remember) free coffees in one day by asking each time if he could keep the page "because he hadn't finished the crossword" (I think this was actually true the first time). Maybe not good for the health, but certainly good for the bank balance!0 -
'normal' coffee is a filter (or drip) coffee...cheapest one. Or an americano is a black coffee made with shots of espresso and hot water.Went to Starbucks for the first with coupon last week and do not usually partake in hot drinks so please excuse my knowledge: I ordered a hot chocolate which they agreed to even though not really allowed and ordered a coffee light for the mrs. I orderd a coffee light as mrs always on some heath kick but when it came it was cold with ice in- is this normal??? Whats the best order if you just want a normal coffee!!
The 'coffee light' is on the frappucino section of the menu board and is a cold ice blended drink.
All hot drinks are made with semi-skimmed milk as standard or can be made 'skinny' with skimmed milk on request!
Most barista's are happy to help if your unsure...or just ask for a normal coffee and they'll sort it out!0 -
The 'dipper well' that the sun refer to is a tiny sink with a constant trickle of water used for keeping utensils clean.Me, too. I am determined to boycott them until they change their policy of running the tap. What's the point of me saving washing-up water in a bowl for the garden, if that sort of waste is going on. I know, every little bit helps, but it makes me so cross!
Another place is Clinton's cafe in Southend, they also leave the tap running. I will write to them and see how they justify it.
I am not condoning the use of this but I think people should be aware that it is a VERY common idea used in most catering places...so boycott all restaurants and other coffee shops to!0 -
yes a mocha is a hot chocolate with expresso, so if you don't like coffee just order a venti mocha with a half shot, so your getting a quarter of the coffe you're supposed to be and you'll hardly taste it.:heart2:Stupid, unreliable vampire.:heart2:0

As for their other sizes, tall is small, and grande is medium.

Starbucks recently refused to support troops in Afghanistan and Iraq stating that they don't believe in the war. Consequently over 200 Starbucks are being removed from bases. Don't support Starbucks, boycott them and show them you support our men and women!!!0
