It's now 1 week since I e-mailed Starbucks to complain about them not honouring their offer properly at my local branch and still no reply from them.
I've now posted them a 'snail mail', good old fashioned complaint letter.
Fingers crossed this will have more of an effect than the e-mail did.0 -
Has anyone checked today's paper just to be sure its finished? A lot of sites said it was every friday until the end of the month0

Have just gone through The Guardian cover to cover in my local Sainsbury's and couldn't find any mention of the Starbucks offer so looks like it's over.0

Oh well, thanks for looking, the new christmas range sounds so good, probably why the offers ended!0

Well, finally a reply to my complaint letter - and 3 'free beverage coupons' !!
Starbucks customer services fully accepted my complaint and apologised for our 'experience'. Furthermore they confirmed that the offer was indeed for ANY size ( and customization ? ) of beverage so I should have been able to receive whatever size I wanted. It was quite refreshing to receive a letter from a large corporation which wasn't full of 'corporate speak' or excuses. Starbucks simply accepted that I was totally 'in the right' and agreed entirely that my local outlet had been wrong in the action they had taken. So much for the inflexible till excuse then. My local outlet are to be reminded as to their "customer service responsibilities" and "appropriate steps considered to improve the customer feedback'. All in all a fair response; I just hope I don't encounter a similar attitude again when I try to use the coupons in my local outlet. It's a shame actually that I missed the voucher in Wednesday's Guardian as it would have been interesting to see what size of drink I would have been allowed to purchase. Anyway, "Thank you" to Starbucks for finally responding and for the 3 free cups I will enjoy in the very near future.
