What is the missing component ouput that it's missing for a high def. tv (and what is a high def. tv?) - sorry to sound completely dull.
Many thanks,0 -

Are you saying that it is not compatible with HDTV's, or the component leads do not come with package? Been dying to try something HD out on tv so will be well dissapointed if not compatible. _pale_
I too placed an order early Friday morning, received e-mail conf but no delivery date, just phoned and was told order accepted but they are waiting on hard disc drives which should arrive Tuesday??0 -

What is HDTV please!!0 -
The premium package comes with the HD cable, whereas the core package does not.
Don't worry, you can still buy the HD cable. Effectively the premium package is just the core package with the nice extras already included in the box, at a discounted cost of buying them all together.
JB, High Definition is a new standard for TV's/Displays that is recently starting to take some ground - instead of standard TV resolution (512x384 or something) it has a much higher resolution, something like 1024x712 - These are an example and I know they are not 100% correct, I'm sure somebody will come back with the exact resolution just to be cocky!
obviously with a high definition display, things will look much smoother and crisper.DONE: Great North Run 09! Raised £452 for the National Autistic Society

seanparkin wrote:Shysally, the package we've ordered does include the hard drive. Most people also won't miss the HD cable, as the xbox is the only consumer device that makes use of HDTV at the moment so not many people have HDTV displays.
The old xbox can be made to display HD as well, most games are a min of 480 resolution , it's disabled on the PAL xboxes.0 -
biglugs wrote:Microsoft have stated quite clearly that the shortage of consoles is NOT a deliberate marketing ploy to help launch this product, and that they are working flat out to ensure consumer demand is met. This has been reported on EVERY major TV and radio channel, all over the Internet and in every newspaper. So that's clear then - they DON'T want to publicise the fact that these are REALLLY hard to get, or that if you see one you should buy it straight away because they're REALLLY hard to get, or that your kids will be dead cool this Christmas if you buy one because they're REALLLLLLLY hard to get.....
That's not marketing, that's just true that is......:D
Kerching - "more ice Jeeves."
Still would not trust them as the same has happened with the Gamecube, N64, PS2 and PSP by them releasing small amounts and saying they "cannot meet demand" and by reporting in the press and on TV it gives Microsoft free publicity which generates more interest in the machine so more people will buy them and generate mega profit for Microsoft. I still believe it is a marketing ploy and have seen some auctions on ebay go for £500 - £600 whether these bidders are legit "a fool and their money are easily parted" comes to mind as I would rather wait until the new year and pick one up when the hype has died down0 -
My local Game store had been promised an allocation of 40 that was quickly snapped up due to pre-orders. When the delivery turned up there were only 30 units on the lorry and the staff were given the miserable job of turning away people who thought they were guaranteed a system."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

got an email from them a few days ago telling me that they'd cancelled on of them off due to "high demand"...
and if that wasn't bad enough, got a further email saying that they still didn't have the stock to fulfil my order, and cannot guarantee delivery before december 24th....
they did give me a £10 voucher code as an apology, but that's hardly consolation, is it?!
yeah exactly, for them to be boasting 'guaranteed delivery before christmas' they simply removed the banner from the orders and offer a tenner voucher!0 -
let me start off by saying i feel sorry for the people who have been done over by there suppliers.
i said a while ago that by MS releasing a console world wide within a weeks of each continent that they had bitten off WELL more than they could chew, there was NO way everyone was going to be happy but in microsofts defence atleast they released the same time world wide as opposed to SONY who had a year start in japan alone and then still claimed they couldnt supply europe with enough PSP`s a year later.
atleast amazon offered a £10 voucher (although i do understand your opinion) my mate got a call of HMV (pre ordered start of october i believe) basically saying sorry but your not getting one then they hung up,no explanation or anything.0
