Oh why,oh why did I have to be brought up witha a "waste not want not attitude"?
I am just trying to bring myself round to the idea that I don't actually need the last two toilet seats that I had in my bathroom, or Thomas the Tank Engine bedding now that my son is 22 years old...and I can hear my grandmother's voice ringing in my head sayng, "Some little child in Africa would be glad of that" and "We never had Thomas the Tank Engine bedding during the war".

Toilet seats - no option - chuck 'em!

As for the bedding - Freecycle - charity shop or car boot...

You have to be ruthless...and if you've had it for THAT long 'it doesn't owe you anything' as my Mum would say. The clutter is a millstone round your neck...
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

I Know. It's just hard breaking the habits of a life time.
When my son was 16 he left home to go to college and left his beloved Playstation behind. I packed it up in a box and put it in the top of his wardrobe. Last year when he came to stay with us I got it out and gve it back to him. He raised his eyebrows at me,then promptly walked outside and put it in the wheely bin.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D

Pigpen I hope you feel better today-I can't get on without you. As for your legs...now you have to keep an open mind see-when my legs are popping and the diclofenac is not enough, I use Keratex cooling gel. It is a cooling gel that breeders use on the horses after runs. I was put onto it by a friend in SA who studied at Onderstepoort(the animal uni).
I didn't believe her either but I tried a tiny bit and was hooked-and its not expensive either:)

    Thanks.. I'll go look
Hi Polka, sorry, couldn't help being nosy and went to look at the Keratex - I'm glad it's you not me telling Pigpen to rub it in from her knee to her hoof... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: , seriously, looks good stuff...

    Exactly... I have trotters!!!

Mudbath - I've done the nonchalant walking around the garden with the dog in the past when she's in season. You do feel a prat! I realised one day I must have really looked like a prat to anyone watching when I was making squatting motions to encourage her to pee! :rotfl:

So it's not just me then!!!:rotfl:

Oh, I must be the only one who lets the pooches go in the garden on their own. They seem to know the routine now, if DPs at work on an evening it's garden only after the boys go to bed. To be honest Megan struggles with too many walks a day now so she's more than happy doing that, god help us if I ever have to stop her morning walk however as she goes crackers every morning for that one.

My older lady goes out on her own but spotty dog would just tear around like a mad thing and she's not allowed to run because of her paw! Once she's calmer (when she's about 12!) she'll go out on her own xx

    Afternoon

Wooden pegs are good for the sole!!!!

Doing well in OH but it is so boring - it is the room which I clean on average 3 times a year!

Had a nice 30 minutes (and a bit) deadheading and digging over the veg
    patch.

Just having a little break and then a HHC will get OH office finished. I had planned to do some sorting of my few boxes in there but wont have time so next week I'll start the boxes and not clean it.
