  • ksh123 I am the least housewifey housewife you could wish to meet... apart from pigpen, maybe! But here's my thoughts on it all!

I worked my socks off trying to keep on top of my house. It was never straight, and I was always shattered, hence the user name. Me, motivated about housework... not a prayer. Housework was something to be endured. The difference with this is.... instead of doing 100 jobs all over the house, and not being able to see a difference for how hard you've worked, .... you concentrate on one area/room, and do say 10 tasks in that room. Suddenly you can really see the work you've done, and day by day your house comes into shape without you feeling like you've become some domestic drudge. :j

The most extreme example for me was my DD2 & DD3's room. It was a hell hole. DD3 has downs and ADHD - (concentration span of a gnat! ) So it was always trashed beyond belief. It would take the OH and me a whole day to clear it up. During the summer the kids rooms came up on the list... I was really cheesed off and thought it's too much of a job... and ok, it was a nightmare to do, no getting around that... but once it was done it was easy to maintain, every week when the kids rooms appear on the list, I go in there, it takes 30mins, and the room's fab again. :D

You don't know me, but if you did, you'd be amazed that :-
    a) I'm on a housework thread, week in week out, and
    b) my house is clean and tidy! :p

Try joining an HHC... they're amazing for getting stuff done.. and after all, 30 mins housework isn't so bad... particularly not when you know there's someone else somewhere in the country doing the same thing as you at that same time... it kinda helps in a bizarre way... (Flower said that too I think?) And particularly when you've got zero motivation to prise yourself up and do anything..... just think, 30mins, and you can sit back down again without giving yourself a hard time! Gotta be a plus!;)

She'll be ironing dusters next - or using matching pegs!:rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm ALLOWED to 'get' them if they start it!

    Good morning all.
I confess...I already do the matching peg thing. I even have a set of blue holiday pegs that we take on holiday with us, because our caravan is trimmed with blue. :rotfl:
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D
  • I feel terrible today (Women's problems). I ate some Malteezers to make me feel better, but they didn't work.
I need a nice HHC to take my mind off it.

  • Right... kitchen S&S
    DW unloaded and re-loaded
    WM unloaded and re-loaded
TD unloaded and re-loaded ( I know I know, it should be on the line, but the grass is three feet high, and the OH hasn't been out on poo patrol)
Tonight's dinner ready to go in oven (fish Pie...yum)
DD1 is off school with the cold I had last week, but is bored stiff cos I'm making her stay in bed.... she's off school, she's in bed... end of! and DD2 is off school with a stomach bug, equally bored cos she's in bed too. Grandpa's coming over in a bit so I can get out, and finalise b'day pressie choices! woo hoo!

    see y'all later
