well must be my good looks because have hired from them twice because of price and the same thing every time ,they go over the car when I took it back to them to see if there is any damage ,not very funny when they try to blame you on other peoples damage ,oh and before anyone says it, I do drive for a living (ie lorrys and van) and have had no mishaps, also in my 40s,so it must be my good looks.0

Hi
Thanks everyone for your help but I am afraid I am not getting the option of a free extra driver etc htat you mention when I go online. Is there a code you should be entering?
Anyone help?
Thanks

Hi as far as I can rememer there is no code to be entered for Carjet extra driver . The quote you get would also include one free extra driver . The home page for carjet gives details of what is included and what is not .HTHx0

Hell! Just had a case of Deja Vu! I was about to recommend the co. I booked with this year but after seeing the posts here about CARJET i thought I'd check the websites. Sure enough https://www.allinclusivecarhire.com and https://www.carjet.com are the same.
Like has been posted I found them unbeatable on price, extra driver was free, didn't have to pay a penny up front and "full" insurance was included. All went without a hitch and I will be using them again.0 -
CDP - I can't understand why you are getting a very high quote with Carjet. Are you trying to book a specialist vehicle? Their rates for August are less than £100 per week for a Focus (at Alicante). The equivalent Easyjet group 'C' quote seems to be c£125 per week!
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but you're not reading the Carjet EURO prices are you?
Dan - which car hire company have you used (Carjet is only the broker)? My only checks have been wheels and tyres (insurance for these is the only extra) and fuel (when I've booked a full-to-full).0 -
Hi
No I am not reading the Euro price altho it is an easy mistake to make! I am trying to book a mid sized car as there are 5 of us. Easyjet are quoting £220 for 14 days whereas carjet were quoting £320. The car I selected on carjet was a corolla I think and a megane on Easyjet. Also it is quoting 4 Euros a day for an extra driver. The main driver is 44 so not exactly high risk age!
The dates are 5 August til 19 August.
Would be interested to see if you get the same price as me or if I am doing something wrong! :-)
Thanks

I'm not aware that any of Carjet's suppliers use Japanese cars, CDP. And they certainly don't add anything for extra drivers - up to 3 free.
The Carjet quote for a Megane (Scenic) is £154 per week less the current 10% discount. That would be £277 for the two weeks in August.

You must have a special deal with Easyjet. I get a price of £318 for a Megane for two weeks.

Hi Les
Thanks for your help!
I wonder if it is cos its Barcelona airport?
Its not a critiscm of you in any way ! Just wanted to know if I was doing something wrong.
Thanks for trying tho!
The Corolla was the option Carjet gave me not a one I would have chosen particulary.
Thanks

Solved....
It looks like Carjet have totally different arrangements at Barcelona. Most of their other locations in Spain seem to have common terms and conditions but Barcelona is much less favourable. Probably because they have a sole agreement with National-Atesa there. Although it does say you should have been able to get one additional driver for free (elsewhere it seems to be three).
Also they impose insurance excesses there - not so elsewhere. This may explain why some Carjet customers on here report having their cars thoroughly checked when returned. Buying-out this excess would make the Carjet cost incredibly expensive.
I'm glad we resolved this - useful knowledge for other readers who get swept up in the Carjet-are-best debate!

I agree with all the good things said about Carjet, but this year for the first time they were unable to get me a car in Alicante during the high season (also last minute booking). A friend who lives in Alicante told me to use jewells car rental https://www.jewellsholidayspain.com one of the white vans that sit outside the airport. I have always been very wary about them but I can honestly say that the service and cars were the same as we would have had hiring from Carjet and they were marginally cheaper. Worth a try if you are going to Alicante airport.0
