Morning everyone - haven't posted for a little while as I have been absolutely snowed under with study for my new course. I didn't realise what a knock on effect it would have either... half a day out of work - result constantly chasing my tail  The house is suffering too as my time is spent studying mainly at weekends - result felling completely out of control
Anyway I went for a night out with the girls last night and let my hair down - so I'm feeling a bit more relaxed (although my feet are sore from dancing).
Sainsbury delivery today, ironing pile to do, bathroom to clean, and finish off the rest of my homework (about 2 hours)
Dinner tonight will be gammon, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and peas.
Have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning folks,
Weather has calmed down a bit today, so will stick my washing out for a bit of a dry in a minute.
Today, going to do some baking, planning on butterscotch brownies and drakon biscuits. Got to go to morrisons in a min to buy milk, will get some 10p light bulbs while I'm there.
Need to buy some winter boots - I have worn mine all summer as I was too lazy to buy new trainers  and now the upper is coming away from the sole. So they need to be flat, warm and weatherproof....so what am I drawn to - big heels, cold and suede
Will also get the bathroom cleaned and try and figure out how the mincer attaches to my chef (any ideas anyone...?)We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

Morning all
Wet and miserable in Kent. Put a piece of beef in the slow cooker last night. Left it on all night and when I went to cut it this morning............well we've got straggly bits of beef for dinner!!!! It's lovely and tender but miss the juice to cook the roast poatotes in. Just made fairy cakes, waiting for them to cool and will ice them. Not a lot doing today. Made 22 year old DS sort his wardrobe out yesterday, kids, they never grow up do they:rolleyes: Anyway got a pile of clothes that he hardly wears/summer wear that I can put into one of those large plastic bags and vaccuum all the air out. At least now when I put his ironing away it will still look ironed when it gets it OUT of the wardrobe.
Squiggly tragic about that fire, their poor poor mum
Glitterkitty we've got a Morrisons at the bottom of our road and the !!!!!!s are still charging us 107.9p per litre. Postcode lottery eh
Have a good day all0 -
Morning all,
No idea on the weather here yet as I haven't been brave enough to look out the curtains yet - judging by the noise, I suspect cold, wet and windy!
Major old-style progress today... I'm going shopping for a slow cooker today! :j I think i've decided on the MR 3.5l one. There are only two of us here. It's 40-odd pence cheaper on Amazon than Argos but I can't wait that long for delivery so I'm going to Argos shortly! Very excited (I hope I'm in such good company that that isn't considered sad!) at the thought of stew ready when I get home from work.
Also got to find a few more warm clothes for the office. My office never gets the sun anyway but now it's like an icebox in the morning so need some warm cardies as I can't sit in my coat all day!
Not very OS but my mum volunteered to do a basket of ironing for me so in return I'm going to have a bash at twinks hobnobs for the very first time and hopefully take some to mum as a thankyou0 -
Morning all:hello:

Morning everyone
Hugs to those in need of a hug. I woke this morning full of a cold. So just cant seem to get myself started today. Taking 1000mg of vitamin C every hour, hopefully it should help.
I have 2 chickens to take the meat off and then sort out what i am doing with themthinking a curry, sweet and sour , roast dinner, pasta bake , slicing a breast for 2 days of sandwiches freezing extra for end of this weeks sandwiches. Of course i will be using the stock to make some kind of soup, depending on which veg are looking a tad past their best
Not bad for 2 reduced chickens. I paid £4 for both.
I have a huuuge pile of white polo shirts that need ironing. I have been putting it off all week, as standing too long hurts my leg. Might grab a stool and put on a girly film this afternoon.
Right back later,to catch up with everyones sunday
Hope everyone has a good onefurrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:

Hi again,
Have been very busy. Made a fish pie for dinner tomorrow with YS smoked salmon and prawns. Will just have to bung it in the oven tomorrow. Have also prepped all the veg for dinner, made apple crumble and choc chip cookies which DS approves of. Also done the ironing.
Off to have a lie down before I tackle the dreaded homework.

DD(19) gets the train back to Newcastle early tonight so want to have a nice Sunday lunch and spoil her a bit.
Yesterday's shopping trip was a huge success - DD got a nice winter coat in New Look, some boots, some slippers, pjs and earrings.
Her sister(14) got a nice hoodie and a couple of long sleeve tops and I treated her to some new earrings as well.
I even bought myself a new purse as mine is falling apart.
Found out the large Sainsbury with a pharmacy are doing flu jabs starting on 8th October so have booked four of us in for Saturday- they will see people over 12 years of age so DD(14) can get hers done!! The flu has been really bad in Australia this year again so I want to make sure we get any protection from it that we can.
Hugs to everybody - just going to battle with the Yorkshire pud.
Roast potatoes and pork are in the Remoska, broccoli, carrots and mushy peas are on the hob and a huge Yorkshire is ready to go in the top oven."This site is addictive!"
