    Mornin
and what an awful dull, rainy, cold mornin it is too.
Not much on the cards today, OH is feeling a lot better , and has decided to clear the garage out, its an integral one so I can keep an eye on him and make sure he does'nt get carried away

Mum rang last night to give me her shopping list for Monday, she thought it was Sunday yesterday, she is feeling a lot better too, but she has a pain in her side, which she said is a pulled muscle, from when she was coughing and sneezing so much.
So all in all both the invalids are feeling more themselves now :T

(((hugs))) for all the poorlys, fed ups, tired non-sleepers and those in need x

Off for a shower now, then got to sort something out for lunch, have loads of stuff in the freezer, I cooked last week, then I might do some hob-nobs :D

Good morning all, wet and gloomy here today.

ds is off to a play rugby, dd3 wants to go swimming so might just send her along as well and she can bathe in the puddles! Need to pick up dd1 from her friend's house later.

Will be cooking roast beef for lunch, large piece that was ys and I stuck in the freezer, other than that it's the ironing for the week that needs doing. Washing smells really different at the mo as was sent a bottle of Lenor to trial, very strong scent, but lovely and the utility room doesn't smell of wet dog for once!

Went to Lush yesterday with dd3, they've just launched all their Christmas range, I bought a lovely marzipan bubble bar, it smells delicious and I'm looking forward to a long soak with it tonight!

But the best thing about yesterday was finally getting my jam maker! Not sure that the booklet that comes with it is going to be much help though, lots of info about why fruit is good for you, but not enough recipes imho! Did notice one for caramel sauce though, which sounds scrumptious! Will be having a browse through the thread that was on here about it and seeing if anyone has any recommendations and advice, but if any of you have one I'd love to know any tips you might have, please!

Pink - your story did make me laugh, I think you're right about the reason for the hairdresser scalping them, bet she's busy arranging a hol right now! Glad you feel happier about your dd and that you got to see where she will be living, enjoy her visit!

Marie - I'm pleased to hear Ulick is home now, hope his recovery isn't too much hard work for you!

Ivyleaf - congratulations on your win, you must be meant to go!

Annie - glad you enjoyed yourself!

  • morning everyone :) i havent posted on here in a while, been very busy with full time work and a college course!
Weather looks very cold today... Great North Run on today, finish line is about 5 min from my house, so all the roads nearby are closed. Will have to wait till at least 3pm before can drive anywhere! BF is fast asleep, i did all his washing yesterday, so have about 20 t shirts to iron! and all my own ironing to do, as well as a short essay for college tomorrow and pizzas to make for tea!! Gonna take BF over home this afternoon and have tea at his house. (he lives about 15miles away, right next to work!) Morrisons have put their petrol down to 104.9, so hopefully £25 will last me a full week!! *fingers crossed*
the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j

Morning, it's fine here today, although a bit grey.

I must go and read my meters, although I dread to think how much we will have used this week as the heating was on for a few hours yesterday and it has been on for the odd hour during the week. Oh well, it's only money

I will get some fish out of the freezer for tea and I think I'll nip to asda and pick up a few bits and pieces, including 4p curry sauce, it really was lovely. I never seen to find any YS or whoopsied meat though, no matter which shop or what time I shop.

Miss Twit had her eyes tested yesterday, as she said she was struggling to see the board. We went to Specsavers and she does need distance glasses, took ages to find a pair she liked and we also visited Vision Express to check there. Back to Specsavers and one of the first pairs she tried on, they are really nice and only cost me £30, they were priced at £125. So, that was better than I expected.

    Oh well, better shift myself.

Hugs to all those in need.

Love to all The Twit :grouphug:

    Morning all,

Its a horrible day here, blowing a gale and pouring with rain, has been since mid morning yesterday. Not sure what we are up to today, might just have a couch potato day, there is nothing that can be done outside.

Roast lamb, roasties and veg from the garden (will send OH out to pick it :D )for lunch today, and its a help yourself for tea, there is bread, ham cheese etc so we won't starve.

I was thinking of heading to Brighton for the day, DD wants new pj's and they do really good ones in primark, but am not sure in this weather

Squiggly, I think the move to Guildford would be a long term one for nephew, its more of a place for young offenders, which his mum is worried about, as there will be rougher lads there, but he will be under lock and key, and will have to earn privilages which I think is what he needs, I know that makes me sound mean, but he needs a firm hand, and I think if its not done now it will be too late, he leaves school soon and can barely read or write. Lets hope his parents make the right decision for him and not for them. Hugs to you xx

Stef, lets hope the bf stays away this time, hugs to your dd's they all sound like lovely girls xx

Marie hugs to you and Ulick

Smoky and the smokelets hope you are having a good weekend.

    Have good days all xx

Redruby- glad your nephew reappeared safely, even if only temporarily. I hope that the move works out okay and helps him get himself sorted out.

Penpin - hope you feel better and that the cold doesn't develop, enjoy your day resting.

Stef - good luck on the great coat hunt, perhaps you should get your choice for the bike and then get your dds to do a bargain hunt if anything's left of the budget for a sexy number! Sexy doesn't often mean warm! Hope things go okay for your dd and that the ex doesn't make her life difficult.

Pippa - glad your invalids are both on the mend.

Well dd1 has called and needs collecting, ds has managed a lift to rugby, so won't need to stand in the rain cheering him on, think me telling him I was gonna grab my wellies and do a bit of puddle jumping with dd3 made him reluctant to let me go! Ah well, if we can't embarrass our children who can we embarrass!

    Morning :D

It's grey and gloomy here too and we are going to have a lazy day. I say lazy but it just means that we're not going out and staying in and doing stuff instead of going out and doing stuff

I have to sort out cupboards (but really don't want to and can't be bothered :o), list on ebay, place an order and cook in bulk.

I bought 2 chickens and 2 packs of sausage so will be roasting, making stock, broth, pasta, casserole and anything else that strikes me along the way. Wish I had a tv in the kitchen  but I'm going to get DD's in at the table to do painting, homework and help out with the cooking

Is anyone else loving X-factor as much as me :o I'm obsessed :rotfl:I think there's some really good talent this year :T

Right, think I might have another cup of tea and surf a bit cos have got no idea what's going on in the world and then get busy :D

Hope everyone has a great day xxx
