Did I say it was hard? What annoys me is it slows you down a fraction, and it's cynical. It also looks messy and amateur.
If it's not hard then why the fuss? It doesn't really slow you down unless your maths are shockingly bad.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -

That's true, ever noticed though that they like to try and screw with people who're not that good at maths or get confused easily? Like for one product they'll show the price per litre, and for another that's next to it they'll have the price per 100ml or something. You see this all the time, should be a law against it.
Sorry but it isnt hard to work out that theres 10 x 100ml in 1 litre, its the same with centimetres eg 10 x 10cm = 1 metre0 -
Dove's Farm Strong White Flour was 69p 1.5kg, now 1.19. Divine 100g mile choc. was 78p, now 95p.0

That's true, but do you not find it irritating that they do this?
Well, yes. It would certainly be easier if everything was broken down to the same unit. Price per litre or kilogramme, and no messing about with 100ml, 100g, or even worse, pints.
I'm not slagging off imperial measurements. All I say is stick to one and the same unit for all liquids, and solids for that matter.0 -

Or with items like apples and bananas, some packs will be priced per piece of fruit on the comparison price of the shelf label and others per kg or 100g.
I have resorted to weighing packs and trying out my mental arithmetic, but not often0 -
A short anecdote on Tesco's pricing... On 23 Dec I went to Tesco Extra at 11pm. I asked for a price query on some Star Wars toys. The staffer told me the price (around 16.99, I think) and suggested I buy them now if I wanted them as they were going up to 22.99 at 3am xmas eve! Similarly, an LCD TV I was watching at my local T store at 229.99 was there, and, as, I pointed it out to a friend who was with me, a staffer came over and said it would be 100 Pounds cheaper 'tomorrow', i.e. back to the usual price. I had seen some Sony TV's at 349 on my way in. When I went back to look at them later, they were gone - actually, I could see staff wheeling them off the floor. You gotta be quick if you want to bag one of T's offers!0
