large cans of dog food was 70p now 90p ! and i noticed tesco malt wheats was 82p now 1.32 up 50p a packet OMG not happy
the 12 tins of tesco own brand dog food in jelly has always been £1.99 for 6 tins or £3.80ish for 12, same in sainsburys and asdas,
was shocked, in both tesco and asda they are now £5 for 12 tins, sainsburys was £4.30ish,
same with the cat food
I'm trying to be a good moneysaver

Some posts further above I'd mentioned their wacky pricing on cat and dog food. We have a cat and a dog.
Tesco own brand cat food was sold at £3.99 per 12, whilst buying 12 single cans at 32p would have been £3.84 only. That's 15p for the foil wrap, or what?
The same pack is now, as you say, at a whopping £5. That's a 25% increase.
With dog food, it's the same story.
My crystal ball tells me it's going to drop to 4.89ish soon, with a big screaming funky "Lower Price" label on it. But then my crystal ball isn't always right.0 -
There are very few nowadays. I read a couple of years ago that only the big pharmaceutical companies and cosmetics companies like Lynx and Gillette have much power over supermarkets these days. Ever noticed how Lynx deoderant is always £2.50 in all the supermarkets? And Gillette razor blades are always about the same extortionate price.
I dont buy lynx so i don't really care how much they charge, as for Gillette Blades, i don't no think they are extortionate at all, i am more than happy to pay £10 for 4 Fusion Power Blades, as its a brilliant shave, yes i know this is a money saving site, however there are sometimes that shoulnt be comprimised on and one of them is shaving!!!!!!!!:beer:In My 'Permanant' Pre-Masters Gap Year

Doesn'r surprise me one bit- Tescos chop and change their prices so much that I actually now shop at sainsburys or waitrose- (basics and frozen stuff I buy is only pennies more- and only sometimes!) I got so sick and tierd of getting something at a fair price one day- then double that of any other supermarket the next, then lower the week after, then sky high again three days later......! its so stressful and means I end up having to go elsewhere anyway as I shop on a tight budget- never thought I would see the day I shop weekly at waitrose though!0 -

The last round of price increases at Tesco have lost them my custom. It's not that I can't actually afford it, it's just the blatant cynicism has meant I have lost faith in them as a supplier.0

Each to his own, I get a better shave from a mach 3. And I still think mach 3 blades are over-priced.0 -

SS save yourself a couple of quid and buy the standard fusion blades, they fit the power handle and there is no noticable difference!0 -

I would second this (well my OH would lol). They are just the same, we tested them one after another and the only difference seems to be the colour! HTH
It's only a game
