I lose count at how often I report this product!
Highlights hot chocolate, up from 29p to 45p. Again!! a whopping 155% increase!
Stuff tescos, I am sticking to sainsburys!0 -
What annoys me is how Sainsbury's just copy Tesco prices. I recently started working for Sainsbury's and was reading their staff magazine, and they had this article about whether you could get the ingredients for a specific meal cheaper at Sainsbury's than Tesco. The price of every item was EXACTLY the same, then they took off the Sainsbury's staff discount and guess what - it's cheaper at Sainsbury's! They treat people like idiots. I cannot stand supermarkets.
I would, and have, spent more on the same items at Sainsbury's, as opposed to Tesco (and definitely Asda) because the quality is far superior. If it's the same price then bonus.0 -
I've just discovered this thread. I started one recently http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=16664249&posted=1#post16664249
about tesco racketeering - "Sunflower seeds - 300g pack were 45p. The next week they've gone up to £2.96"
and 300g pine nuts have gone up from £2.96 to £4.89 since I started this thread.
Arrgghh0 -
Tescos Value Sardines in tomato sauce 17p last week - this week 24p!
I think the cats are going to have to be put on a dietSome days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0 -
Tinned toms now at 33p - but that seems to be everywhere, not just Tesco. The word "Cartel" springs to mind....3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Arrgghh
:T Sir Terry Leechy will justify as follows
Knock on effects from the Tsunami, India trebling its consumption, severe frosts in Costa Rica and the declining pound - Tesco absorbed increased costs for as long as possible.
- what else could you expect them to do !0 -

I work for Mr A and even with my staff discount i now still prefer to shop around, on a monday morning after i have dropped the munckin off at school i head up our town centre and go to fruit/veg stall (always extremly cheap and buy about 7 days worh of fruit and veg fort £3-£4 and then the local butchers then i head over to farmfoods for my toilet roll (£1 for 4) excellent value and very soft indeed, one thing the OH wont comprimise on his toushy tissue lol and buy my milk £1 for 4 pints and any biccies and crisps or other "fun food" we need and then i head over to the big A and get the rest of the things in. im always home in before 11am and thats me pretmuch sorted for the week. b4 any1 starts saying thats all right for me as i have time on my hands i usually work a 30-40 hour week. cant bare to think of how much money i have wasted over the years by just shopping in the one store for convenience. its always pays to shop around.Trying to be happy by accumulating possessions is like trying to satisfy hunger by taping sandwiches all over your body - Geoege Carlin0
