    Morning all

    Welcome Halight and Bigspender

CELYN not long to go, really feel for you.

Big hugs to all those poorly, tired ot fed up this morning.

REDRUBY hope your nephew turns up soon, just want to give him a hug and a home.

It's lovely here this morning, cold but bright. Have put some washing out with another load to go in a mo. Cream of chicken soup for OH and DS for tea. I have got work at 1pm. Oh well I'll just think of the money. We usually manage to have a laugh with the patients and relatives at the weekend as we don't have loads of doctors and OT's coming in, so it's usually quite chilled.

Off to get another cup of tea and unload the dishwasher.

    Have a lovely day all.

dd not at all well with her second bout of tonsillitis in three weeks - she was sick last night too - i sort of comforted from my bed as I don't do vomit. luckily her big sis got up and helped.

middle dd met me halfway between work and school yesterday morning and handed me a big tub of king prawn teriayaki that she had made herself for my lunch. She's not a great one for cooking and both bigger girls could do with one of those shopping consultants so i was very pleased to see her cooking from scratch - it was delish too

well my plans today are to carry on with the painting - note to self it's not a good idea to decide to paint the whole hosue with the arrival of major company imminnent - listen to the football and then chill with the girls

    have a good day all

  • Mornin all,

Please forgive me while I have a little grumble and rant.... feel free to skip this post!

Yesterday I made bread, by hand for the first time in donkeys years. I now have a new house brick that I need to find a use for :o I also made yoghurt and it is the first time this has gone wrong - it just hasn't thickened at all :o

I have rats in my compost and was up till about 2 this morning googling rat deterrents. I cant believe the range of ideas I came across though, gonna try them all, other than shooting and poison or traps, which range from putting my sons wee on the compost heap, stuffing the holes they are coming in with bounce tumble dryer sheets, putting drops of olbas oil and mint around the composter... I think I am going to have to get some chicken wire, but it seems you can only buy the stuff in huge rolls, and I only need a couple of square metres!

BUT..... on the bright side... as I was cold last night, I wore socks to bed, and decided to make the most of it by smothering my feet in Shea Butter before I put socks on. This morning I have lurvely smooth feet!! :D

    Thanks, grumble over.....

    Have a lovely day everyone
If I had a pound for every...... oh sod it, if I just had a pound I'd be richer!

    Morning all,

Looks nice here at the moment, its meant to be raining later on, so wll get out with little dog as soon as dd has gone with her dad at 11.

Will hopefully have a nice long walk today, my legs feel like they need it, will take lunch with us as usual.
No word on nephew yet, although we cannot raise his parents this morning, he has a habit of turning up in the early hours, so lets hope he did that last night and they are all asleep. Will keep you posted, thanks for the good wishes x

DW needs emptying, wm is on with dd's uniform, and OH work clothes to go in next. Will have a quick tidy through this morning and then get out.

Cheesy nabs for tea, will then settle down for X Factor and a glass or two

Hugs to Marie Ulick, smoky, pen pin, Stefs dd, candy, little Joanna with the poorly arm, and anyone else in need xx

Welcome to big spender and halight,

:rotfl: Halight you think its bad now, wait till your girls are 14 and you are last in the queue for the bathroom :D :rotfl:

    Have good days all xx

See if you can borrow a couple of terriers from someone, make sure your children are out, and let them go, ratting dogs will rid you of your problem within a few moments :D

    Morning all

    Welcome newbies :hello:

DDs had a lie in this morning, so I had the luxury of watching Market Kitchen on UKTV Food. Haven't watched it before, but quite enjoyed the format. Feeling lazy now though. I don't watch that much TV, and hardly ever on a morning.

I've not long put the WM on, and need to sort the BM, as we're out of bread. Have some rolls still for today though, but need to motivate myself to get in the kitchen. It's pretty cold.gif here this morning, and our kitchen is the coldest in the house, because it's so big. Baking will warm it up, because I really don't want to put the heat on until we have to.

Not going out anywhere today - DDs are off out with their friends though, which means I can get things done without interuption. I want to try and sort out another cupboard today. The decluttering is doing ok, plus I managed to sell an item on ebay, so that will need packing up, ready for posting on Monday. The best bit is an extra £35 towards christmas out of stuff I no longer want :T :T :T

I'm having that problem already redruby - DDs are 11 and nearly 10  They argue over how long each spends in the upstairs bathroom, even though we have one [minus the bath] downstairs too. What do girls do in there

Anyway, time for a ilovecoffee.gif and a look at the other boards before I start on the day.

:grouphug: HUGS :grouphug: to those in need. Enjoy your day all, whatever you're doing.

  • Good Morning to everyone.
I feel like i have had such a productive morning so far. Went to mr T. yesterday and managed to buy some whoopsies :) 2 x chickens for £2 each should of been £4.50 and a shoulder of pork for £2.45 that should of been £5.75. So i have a chicken in the SC and have put the pork and other chicken into the freezer:)
WM is on its second wash. Boys beds are stripped too.

I think i have a cold coming on. Had a sneezing bout this morning and my throat feels like a cheese grater :(

Hugs to those feeling poorly, sad or just needing a hug

Off to catch up with todays thread
