    Have a nightmare

This is a good looking mp3 player, Im sure my daughter would love it for Christmas and cant seem to reserve one for the Milton Keynes store!

Online click and reserve, shows delivery for next wednesday, it allows me to enter my details then turns around and says it is out of stock! I even get an email

Subject: Argos - thank you for your reservation

    Thank you for using argos.co.uk

Unfortunately these item(s) are now temporarily out of stock.

I rang them, they say it is a system error, that will be fixed, but advised me to go to the store. The store cant complete the process either and could only advise to try again in the morning

Is it just me? or is anyone else having similar problems? I have missed out before on a nice little mp3 player and would hate to miss out again.

    Thanks

  • Just had an email from a colleague, he managed to get a silver one, and his also had the tuner.

Seems like pot luck whether you get one or not, I guess Argos had a job lot, some with and some without, hence the fact that they were a bit vague in the listing.

Perhaps you'd better all try Argos branches in Norfolk! Maybe we got all the ones with tuners!

Yes I am having problems as you described, trying to reserve. I rang up and got the same answer. Said they were expecting stock after Wednesday though...

I picked up a gray one from the Nottingham Parliment Street branch and it has a radio tuner.

Gameplayers:...the red light on the cable went out so I assume that means it's charged.

I have a drill battery/charger that charges fully, but the light never goes out (as it should) when the charging cycle is finished. It's never bothered me as it does the job nonetheless. I wonder if your player is the same.

Do you know if the battery has charged or not? Suggest you exchange yours if you feel it's faulty. Looks like Argos may still have stock in a warehouse somewhere so it may be worth ordering another one in so you can exchange?
