I've just managed to get a grey one and it HAS got the FM tuner. I'm well pleased.
As singhfello says you get a £5 Argos voucher, but if you spend 1p more you get a £10 one!

Is yours the "Pure" model? My bro has just picked our 2 up & they DON't have the FM tuner. Maybe I'll use my 2 reservation codes to check them out tomorrow at the other branches.
I know these are excluded from the 16 day thingy, but will Argos let me have a look at the package in the shop to establish if it's the FM version?

They've got them at Barnsley if that's not too far for you.
Can anyone confirm for me that the web prices apply instore? I was looking at the iRiver 790 a couple of weeks ago. It was reduced from £89 to £44. Checked on the Friday that they had them in stock locally so I could pick up the next day, only to see that the offer had ended. Checked in store just in case, but it was full price.
Now I see that they've got them at £39. I've reserved one, but just wonder if when I get to the store they'll insist it's full price. They've also got the Creative Zen Nano 1GB down from £99 to £49, which is tempting, but I just like the look of the iRiver.Nice to save.0 -
There's no mention of FM radio in the Argos description yet it doesn't say it is the "pure" model either. I suspect it will be without which is a shame as you can record the radio with that model .
Gainsborough has 1 in stock NOW! Everywhere else is to order for Wednesday.0 -

Thanks for the tip on the Nano - just reserved 2! They definately have a radio!
Edit - oh and the IPF790 is showing as only £39.99 at the moment here !HLK

Roadtesting this as I write, it's got a really good clear sound although it's not overly loud.
My son's Zen Micro is much louder than the iRiver although since I'm not a stupid teenager who can only listen to music if it deafens him, then it's just the job. This also looks classier than the Micro.:rotfl: Well worth the money imo.
Now......have to go download all my albums........*cough* , sorry..... just dusting off my Osmonds Album and the dust caught in my throat.

Sorry, the empty box is in my desk at work, so I won't be able to look at it until Monday.
I remember it said about the FM tuner on the back of the box though. It's the grey model so perhaps the silver ones are the Pure ones?
Maybe I just got lucky, if so it will be very unusual for me, I usually manage to spot these things just after they've gone out of stock!
Just downloaded all my albums onto it, dammed thing's still got 2Gb free! I'll need to buy some more!

I've just brought one today from Argos. A 5GB pure model (grey).
No radio
Lucky you if you've got a radio.
But maybe I should be happy I've managed to get one!!!
P.S. any ideas for where to get cheap accessories from?0
