Problems with Amazon seller
Comments

You have missed the point!!!! Again!!!!
The issue is not the price, I couldn't care less. The seller is demanding positive feedback for a refund - this is not allowed.
I can ask for a refund for any reason through Amazon. The reason could be any - if I ask for a refund I should be given immediately the address to return the item, not a list of conditions threatening me with lawyers and fake loss prevention departments.
Some of you would struggle in the business world where these standards are upheld every day - hence why you probably sell on Amazon
I don't see how I can miss a point when there isn't one there.
Anyway all I can say is good luck in finding someone that actually agrees with you cause you don't seem to be having any luck here.
Oh and for the record I think I might get a bit further in business then you cause personally I would shop around for the cheapest prices rather then just buy the first one I see.

Well done go4it! :T I understand what you mean and, in your shoes, would have felt just the same. I was so pleased to see you'd got in touch with Amazon as they've always been good at sorting things out for me in the past. Incidentally, these days after problems with sellers at Amazon, I usually use Amazon for reviews then buy from Play. This would certainly put me off of ever buying from any sellers like that again.
All the best go4it.

yes a refund for any reason, like you being too lazy to hunt for a better price?0

OP I can't see why you are still arguing a point that has been agreed, I know you are probably feeling a bit embarrassed about having paid so much for something and you mention laziness in one of your posts, yet keep trying to blame the seller for that when it was your laziness in the first place

You do not have to leave positive feedback to get a full refund on Amazon, please see my earlier post. There is no need to start saying that all sorts of breaches are occuring in Distance selling regulations, it is simple, you return the DVDs tracked, when they are returned you get a refund. It is as simple as that.
Unfortunately as sellers on Amazon we are at the mercy of buyers who change their mind for a variety of reasons it happens.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I really am struggling with this.
You were offered a partial refund in return for positive feedback. Which would have meant you had the goods and a chunk of money back. But you didn't want to do that, obviously because you have decided that for your own laziness you are going to punish the seller by leaving a neg.
They have also offered you a full refund (some of the language might be a bit over the top) but in essence is fairly acceptable. They want you to understand it is your responsibility ti get the item back, and that it is still sealed (too easy to open and copy a DVD in 5 minutes).
You are obviously on a mission to damage this seller's reputation as much as possible why? Because he made a small turn?
Yes amazon will agree with you and will put pressure on the seller to keep you happy, which of course will cost the seller money and reputation when you leave your neg which I imagine will go along the lines of "Student selling items which can be bought cheaper at HMV, rude and argumentative about returns...very bad seller".
You know nothing of the sellers circumstances but for petty reasons you are now just out to shaft them, I hope you are proud of your actions and any possible consequences that your actions might potentially have on them, their ability to pay their bills etc.
Most of the stuff I sell online I buy retail which everyone on here could do if they put their mind to it. I don't make a huge margin but it does keep my family.0 -
This is quite unreal - I have rarely seen a thread that is so petty with the OP making multiple replies saying everyone has missed the point! The point is you are hacked off that you bought something that you could have bought cheaper if you bothered to look. Now you are expecting the seller to bow to your laziness.
You should keep the DVD, leave appropriate feedback, move on and learn to use the internet.0 -
Isnt it illigal to sell an item as 'in stock' when it isnt?
If this is the case then the seller sold those DVD's illigally unless HMW had a deal with him where they GARANTEED stock.
The OP could have ordered her DVD's, and then HMV do not have it in stock - 3 weeks wait...then what would have happened?
The seller is iresponsible, he should not be able to sell items as in stock without physically having the item.
If he had a contract with a supplier..then fair enough...but he doesnt and its clearly lying if he states on amazon HE has it in stock.
At the time of sale, the seller did not own the dvd he was selling, nor could he garantee the buyer that he could get hold of said dvd.
The point isnt that the buyer made a mistake, its the unprofessionalism of the seller, regardless of this case.0
