    Hello,

Another stinking hot day today. The humidity has been bloody awful. Went and visited Mum this morning & got home around 1pm. Been doing office work this arv. Had roast for tea tonight. (meat in CP of course;)) Off to the hairdressers tomorrow morning. We are going away for the weekend. My sister in Brisbane is having a dress up Xmas Party. I suggested to DH I could go as a wise woman and he could go as a donkey. :snow_laug He didn't think it was all that funny. Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm a bit lame when it comes to dress ups. I suppose I should have been thinking about it earlier but wasn't 100% if we would be able to make it.
Happy Belated Birthday to Queenie. Enjoy your day everyone & I will make a start on my ironing seeing as it's cooled down a tiny incy bincy bit.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Aaaaagh! Did a long reply, then lost it when I tried to look back at what everyone had said, and I bet it's in here somewhere if I knew where to look!

    Oh well, try again.

Penny=Pincher - your brekkie sounds much more interesting than my Frosties!

Jo -- hope the meeting won't be too boring and that the eats will be good!

Kiwichick - good luck at Lakeside, at least you're not there on a Saurday!

freyaluck - ((((hugs))) hope you manage to get a new breadmaker soonest!

Queenie and Curry Queen - Belated Happy birthday!

Bargain Rzl - hope the concert went well - I thought of you. I always say God hears only the right notes! and a large proportion of the audience wouldn't know if you made a mistake anyway.

Vastsarah - many thanks for your kind post last weekend! It's actually our son who's going to be doing the lighting at the nightclub. He's full of plans for fixing the lights that don't work as well as they should!

Usually have a lie-in on Weds as my DH has Wednesdays off, but woke earlier than usual due to arthritis in my big toe, of all sad things to have! So I've been up for ages though still in dressing gown as didn't want to disturb DH. he's just got up now, so will catch up later. Hope you all have a good day!

    Morning everyone.

Hope you are all well this frosty morning. It was soooo cold here this morning. I had ice on the inside of my windscreen!

Still on my mission to update my finances and get rid of paperwork. It has been a very useful activity though. I found my car log book, that I thought had gone missing forever, and have also found my house and contents insurance policy, which is due for renewal in early January. Glad I found it as it will give me the chance to search for the best deal before I get the renewal letter. I can feel a trip around MSE coming on!

I managed to find DS a Liverpool Euro shirt on the internet on Monday and it arrived yesterday. I had to take a gamble on sizing though. It was a JL (Junior Large) size and it said JL 45cm. I still haven't worked out what the 45cm is a measurement of though. Why can't they just use height or age, I understand what they are!

My chicken and leek pie went down a bomb yesterday. I think I'll have a wander into the village and get some braising steak from the butcher for tea today. It will be lovely in the slow-cooker, especially on such a cold day. I will check out the charity shop for books as well.

    Have a great day all!

Thanks chickadee, for pushing me into making a decision about tea :D

We had a *chicken*, leek and courgette pie last night (although I used turkey, but kids said they only liked chicken!! :D) However, I quite fancy a nice beef casserole in SC - off to routle through the freezer now.

Knew I'd forgotten something in my earlier post, due to having to type it out all over again!

Ancasta - wanted to say I love your choice of wedding music! My DD got married last year and they chose "Protection" for her coming in (some of the words weren't quite appropriate but they both loved the music, and removing the vocals didn't work as it sounded echoey!) and "Feelin' Good" for going out. For the Signing they had one by Percy Sledge - called something like "A Deep and Perfect Love" though I don't think that's the right title!

Hello to those who've posted since I did my first post earlier on! And (((HUGS))) to anyone who's in pain, poorly or generally having a difficult time today.

    Good morning everyone
Its a lovely sunny day here, but I haven't been outside for long enough to work out whether its cold or not!
D/w emptied & reloaded, bathroom cleaned, bedroom window cleaned, kitchen & d/s loo floors washed; have even done some more crochet.
DS has a friend to stay (also home educated) so is having a non-schoolwork morning - in fact they have not long emerged from bedrooms, and have not had any breakfast yet, I expect they'll come downstairs if hunger gets the better of them!
    Have a good day!

Washing machine is on and another load is about to go in.

Dh has now decided that in order for one room to be tidied up and sorted out - three rooms have to be turned upside down - guess what lucky person gets to help with moving furniture, hoovering etc etc!?

Place is still a tip and I can get nothing done.

Had really hoped to wrap a few Christmas presents - suppose I will have to wait till he goes back to work next week - please let him be back at work next week - I have had nearly three weeks of "help" - he means well but I am going crazy!

Have home made soup in the slow cooker and may bake some cakes later.

Will start using up contents of freezer so will poke around there later and hope that I do not fall in as it is a large chest freezer.:xmassmile

Morning all, I am on strike today!! My living room is filled with the boxes from the tv package delivery - huge disaster that turned out to be!! Sorted eventually thanks to DH's persistance though.

DD2 is home sick again, the trouble is she is not really ill but has a hacking cough so she is tearing the house apart. DH is in bed ready for tonights shift so I quit!! I am not doing anything until my house is empty again. I've been doing all my shopping for christmas online :D

Morning all :snow_grin :snow_laug :snow_grin :snow_laug :snow_grin :grouphug: - Cold and bright here today - love this time of year!

Working all day today - little one's are both currently asleep after a busy morning glittering and sticking...I will go tidy up in a mo - but a :coffee: and a quick sarnie were order of the day.

Quiche for tea (need to make the pastry when they wake up and will make them some to play with) Not sure what's going to be in it yet..ham, leek and cheese more than likely cos that's about all there is in the fridge!

    Have a good one all.
