Happy birthday CQ and Queenie for yesterday!!
Busy day lined up today. Had a quick whip round the house before leaving for work and ugh the boiler has died I think. Just what I needed before Christmas- fortunately we know a nice man who does boilers so he's coming tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be too dear.
Managed to get all my Christmas cards finished last night- went much better than usual as made the process easier with a big glass of mulled wine [dared to try the Tesco own brand £2.06 red vino and was pleasantly surprised!!]
Am making HM pizza and garlic bread for tea tonight followed by HM yogurt in my new yogurt maker. Plan to do a load of mending jobs tonight and wrap OH's presents but then again may just read my new library book........hmm such a difficult choice!!
    Regards
    Aril

    Happy Birthday Curry Queen

Had a quiet day made bread but it did not rise very well - have pasta bake in oven for tea and baked muffins for tonight.
DH is still moving furniture and computer so whole house is in chaos.

He goes back to work next week having taken some of his holiday to spend at home and get stuff done. Nothing has been finished and I am hanging on by a thread to my temper.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! Curry Queen!!!!

(don't know how to make it look pretty) :o

Not been on here for a few days and having withdrawal symptoms :D

Sitting eating ready made Tesco's stroganoff - not very OS but I had no time to do anything - the exhaust fell off the car without any warning last night :( £150 + £450 service due next week. Cancel Xmas time?

In my purple VW Beetle today and got my first wave from another bug :D

After sweating for a week I finally put my job application in the post - recorded delivery too. Fingers crossed! After checking, re-checking, sealing the envelope, opening the envelope to check again, I'm still worrying I might have missed something out. Why?!!! Must be positive, but I keep wanting to go to the post office to open it and check again!!!!

    Have a lovely afternoon everyone.

Thankyou everyone, you've brought a much needed smile to my face today :A

Not gonna post my moans and groans, shouldn't have any on my birthday right??? ... Wrong!!!! Tesco have cancelled my order yet again this week - currently doing battle via screaming matches and tears down the phone to them - plans to cook a birthday dinner for me and DS up in smoke, plus a much needed bottle of Baileys I won't be getting now

And that's just the tip of the ice-burg :(

Anyway, thanks again for all your good wishes, it really means a lot to know people care :A ... and for anyone thinking "well aint she already had a birthday this year?" - yeah, I had my "virtual" birthday back in summer some time when I reached the grand old age of 100 ;) ... but today is actually my real one :o
