HAPPY BIRTHDAY CURRY QUEEN
I am sorry to hear that a few things havn't gone to plan but don't worry about it, make the most of all your friends on her wishing you the happiest birthday! Relax, put your feet up and watch a film, treat yourself.
I have been a busy lady at work but nothing too bad. I have got rehearsals tonight for the panto and OH is stressing about his teaching interview that he has tomorrow. I know he will be brilliant but he is worrying about the national curriculum (I often worry about it too, hee hee).
Tommorow will be a lovely day as OH is out all afternoon, I am gonna wrap up the rest if his pressies!!! I am looking forward to it already, its so excitiing getting his pressies ready cos he hardly ever buys himslef anything so I love giving him things on his bday and christmas!
I'd better get some dinner on before we scoot off to drama.0 -
Hope you have a fantastic birthday Curry Queen. :beer:0

Bargain_Rzl wrote:Morning all and happy birthday CQ!!!!
Today has not started well - I overslept (not seriously, just enough to make it quite crucial that everything ran smoothly between getting up and going to work) and when I got out of the shower and went to my wardrobe, I found that my favourite pink suit - which has just come back from the dry cleaners and which I'd planned to wear today as I need a smart outfit for church concert this evening - has not been repaired as promised/paid for at the cleaners. Trouser hem is still trailing on the ground  so I had to find something else to wear. This made me all of five minutes late for work, which got me a snidey comment from my boss, which I REALLY don't appreciate considering all the overtime I put in for no extra money  This after the cheek she showed me yesterday by criticising the fact that I'd booked a day off in the same fortnight as I'd said I was not going to be able to put in lots of extra hours  The fact is, even this week when I'm really busy outside of work, I'll still be putting in at least 40 hours rather than the 37 I'm paid to do! 3 extra hours is acceptable as a norm, I think, or at least it would be if it wasn't seen as inadequate by my flippin' workaholic boss!!!!!!
Of course all this means that I am still planning to hand in my notice early in the New Year. I like the other people I work with, and the work is quite interesting, and the money is - well - it would be good if it wasn't for the hours, and having to put up with my boss.
:grouphug: I know how you feel, my boss is right pain in the neck too, im always early for work (the first there) and do as much as I possibly can in a day, but nothing is ever good enough. I was about to serve a customer today when she told me she had a bone to pick with me, but then decided she'd tell me off later - leaving me a bit jumpy all afternoon. This is on top of saying to her boss that the reason we were tired today is because we actually did a hard days work yesterday. (im thinking !!!!!! - we are so many staff short that working there is a living nightmare and If I get one more stroppy !!!!!! in the bank that complains when its their fault I might just take the letter opener to my own goddam neck!)
Why are women bosses such cows??Honestly, If I was a manager I wouldnt dare treat the staff like that!!
Anyway, I got home from work feeling a little miserable but am trying to cheer myself up by thinking about getting paid next week and having a bit of time off soon, but then I thought - thats all well and good, but I have to go back to that hell hole. So im on the hunt for new employers (men only - id rather risk harrasment than constant fear of stampy the dragon (she stamps around when she is in a mood)) as of tomorrow, its jobs paper day. Time to jump that nasty ship.
Well, the boyf also failed miserably in the three tasks I set him today, so its a good job he isnt in right now otherwise id probably end up taking out my misery at work on him.
I suppose id better go and make dinner now, im thoroughly tired and think its a chicken and chips dinner in front of the TV.

Happy Birthday CQ
You're all being such good OSers! Can you give me a good old kick up the behind?
Well, at least I've taken the washing out of the WM. Suppose I need to put yet another load on, but that would involve ironing more tomorrow night. Not an attractive option, to be honest!Anyway, I'm hopefully going to a Body Shop party tomorrow evening. Not sure whether to take my wallet or leave it at home.
I've just amended our class assembly for next week. We will start to practice it tomorrow and I need to ensure that the class know how much their lives depend on it being good.Fail me and they will regret it for the rest of term *insert evil laugh here*
OH went shopping by himself tonight. I know. Dangerous! He actually did quite well and only spent £3 over our weekly budget. However, considering we hadn't been shopping for 1.5wks, then I suppose it's not too bad.
Just got to go and watch the final 10 mins of Dragons' Den.

OH has been working from home today so he did some washing, washing up and had leftover lasagne from last night for lunch then cooked me a roast dinner we were supposed to have at the weekend tonight :j I've spent the evening on my laptop curled up on the settee as I don't feel great - seem to be fighting something offHope I'm ok for Christmas :xmastree: (sorry just wanted to try out that smiley
)
Think I'll have a shower while the news is on and then try and sort through my box of things to flog - need to boost the wedding ring fund :money:Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

I am Happy Bunny today.
Went to Clarks after school for sale shoes, bought trainers, 2 proper shoes, 2 slippers and a pair furry lined wellies for 3 out of 4 kids and spent only £44! Used my PIN money from my jar so twice as chuffed!
My Virgin Wine order arrived! I bought House insurance from Egg last week - cost £84. Came with a free case of 12 wines up to £70! Ordered the wine and when it all arrived today, I got a free bottle of Brut in it too!
Not an OS day though. I had chip shop chips for tea (SLAP!) To atone for my sins, I felt really sick afterwards and it serves me right! _pale_
Kids have written out their Christmas cards (£4 from Vistaprint with their photo on it!) and being naughty and using company stamps to post them!
So Happy Birthday CQ! And Queenie for yesterday (as I didn't post then)
And hope tomorrow is better for everyone.0 -
