HAPPY BIRTHDAY CQ!
Have a lovely day CQ!
I am having a quiet day too (walked too far yesterday as we did Costcos and Ikea) and I have to stay in for the organic fruit and veg box (wonder what's in it today?) I am going to try making a cake in the breadmaker today (never done that before!) and hopefully will have written out some more Christmas cards.
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Hi folks,
Just out of bed, doing as I am told and resting........thank you for the good wishes, we are gutted that we cannot go to France, but its better to be safe than sorry!!!!!
OH has just gone out to take a load of wood to the allotment and to Tesco for some fresh fruit, the bowl is empty....at least I do not have to worry about shopping etc, most of it is done, and what isn't he is quite capeable of doing with a list.
Did not have a good night, went off to sleep then woke at 1am, made tea and read, put the light out but niggly pains in my chest....... eventually dozed off until just after 7am so made a cup of tea and have been rading in bed since then, am about to go back, just got up to go to the loo and check the emails.
Have a good day folks........

Morning all!
Happy Birthday to Curry Queen & Queenie for yesterday. There must be something in the stars in early December that gives people a predisposition to becoming MSE addicts
Still at home with DS who has a bad cough, as it seems do half the population at the moment. I managed to clear up loads of paperwork yesterday that had started to take over the computer desk (...floor, cupboard, coffee table....). My recycling box is now brimming over and the guinea pigs will not be short of bedding for quite a while!
It will be a simple day again today. We are having chicken & leek pie for tea. HM malted fruit loaf was toasted for breakfast, with a dollop of delicious HM plum jam on top. Heaven!
I haven't christened lunch yet so I will think about it in a bit.
I need to update my bank spreadsheet today; I have let it slide a bit and have lost my focus so I need to get back on top again. I may have a wander into the village later to see if I can grab any books for Amazon. It will help for DS to get some fresh air as well, if he is to go back to school again tomorrow.
Have a great day all.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

Happy Birthday CQ - Hope you're taking it easy.
Really bright and crisp here today - over slept badly - if it wasn't for a friend phoning at 7.30 we wouldn't have been up for me to start work at 8am!!! I do like working from home!!
DD's and DH off to school and work respectivly. Went off into town once I'd dropped the kids off and had a pleasant wander.....had to get a secret santa pressie for DH for work....used a voucher for extra points in boots and got some 3 4 2 toiletries, got a few other bits too and topped my phone up to get past the £15 for triple points limit....ended up getting £4.70 worth of points for a £20 spend and an expensive looking secret santa pressie!
Going away for a couple of nights with some friends on Friday....(Butlins Adult Only 70's Weekend - should be a complete riot) We've paid for the break as a wedding pressie to them in return they said they're paying for all the booze and buying us lunch on Saturday.....can't be bad!!
Need to run the hoover round and sort out the air hockey table for a tournement with the afterschoolers I have....they love coming and never want to go home...feel quite sorry for their parents when they get ignored at going home time...
Popped into lidl for some bits - only managed to spend £4 odd which is most unlike me but there was nothing "nice" in there today -- apart from their cherry jam that is
Hope you all have a great day (or what's left of it)
Ancasta......you should have picked me a copy up too....sure DH wouldn't mind me plastering posters on the bedroom wall.....or maybe he would? :rotfl:"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Afternoon all, and happy birthday Curry Queen!!
Today started of none too well - top drawer of freezer had started to defrost so I had to take out the defrosting food, cook it etc and get DH to fix the freezer and then put the fresh food from the fridge in!! Phew!
Going to do some work this afternoon as I have an unexpected 'window'!! Thought I was looking after friend's kids but it turns out I'm not needed.
Breakfast - defrosted potato waffles
lunch - defrosted fishfinger sandwiches with a side dish of more fishfingers
dinner - sausage casserole and defrosted apple pie, and possibly a starter of fishfingers!
Have a good day everyone.
