She paid probably £2 for postage which she won't get back, and she'll have to pay another £2 for recorded back to you... and in return she'll get back £3.60. If she can do the maths she'll work out that she'll see that's a loss! lol

    Hi Fern,

I think we all assumed it was a 'top' yet from what you say above it sounds as though it is a bra or bikini top with a size of 36D. Is that correct?

Whatever the item was, did it have a label that actually said it was a size 14 or did you guess it was a size 14 as in '36 is approx a 14'?

Nah, it was a top with 14 on label. She felt the need to bring her t1ts into it. I'm a liar apparently. She's as smug as now but it'l cost her 1.50 ish + 72p to return and I can probably off load it as second chance offer. Nasty piece from last message I received.

If I was you, I would see if the buyer is also a regular seller. If she is, politely tell her that you will not refund. If she then NEGs you, win one of her sales and Neg her back. If she isn't a regular seller, and I valued my feedback rating, I would consider refunding the purchse cost.

Sensible sellers will keep their buying and selling accounts seperate because of this. We are aware that some sellers can get very petty and nasty and buy something with the direct intention of some sort of vigilante idea of 'getting their own back'. Luckily most sellers are above this sort of nonsense and from the OPs sensible and polite responses to the thread I assume she is one of them.

The OP is obviously not dealing with a sensible buyer, ergo she won't be a sensible seller, ergo she won't have two accounts. The only issue is whether the single account is used for buying alone and never used for selling.

If a buyer is being "very petty and nasty", by leaving unwarrented bad feedback, ebay will show no interest. Your only redress is to be as petty and nasty as the idiots you're dealing with. The "nonsense" has been created by the new feedback rules where by the buyer is holding all the cards. My suggestion, although not as fluffy as you approve of, is the only way in the current climate to level the playing field. The rules will be changed, surely, but in the meantime, I recommend all reputable traders to play the ebay system as it's being played against you.

Not sure about your logic there biggrin.gif

I'm with soolin on this one. Life's too short to get into a vendetta. I have other things going on besides ebay biggrin.gif

That said, it's good to be able to come here with my ebay problems as generally people offer good advice so I can clear the matter up quickly.

    Thanks to all!

So , assuming OP stoops to this level and leaves a false neg as a buyer then the original buyer spots the same name and/or address and reports the OP as a malicious bidder and gets the neg removed and the OPs 'buying' account possibly closed down. Once the OP gets their buying account closed down then they can't of course continue to use their selling account..so this action leaves the original buyer with no negative but more importantly leaves the OP with no ebay accounts she can use. I can't see how that helps at all

Or are you suggesting that OP somehow breaks even more rules and opens a fraudulent account in someone elses name?

  • It gets dafter. Came home this eve to find following from nutty woman.

''Parcel packaged up ready to go first thing Monday given Paypal confirm that I have received my refund from you.
    Regards.''

    I have responded with

''I will refund when I get the item back. Please check our previous communication. Ebay state that refunds should not be given until the item has been returned in the same condition it was sent. If you prefer we can continue this through an ebay dispute, I am more than happy to abide by ebay's guidelines and rules.

    regards''

    when will it end? speechless-smiley-040.giflaughing-smiley-014.gif

Yep, happy to refund cost of item when I get it back. She agreed to that yesterday biggrin.gif Now she wants refund first. Just not going to happen so have invited a dispute. I may well win as item is as described. All our comms have been through ebay so it's all on record.

She's a pie short of a picnic, she probably ate it.
