"the golf is free(yearly fee)."
just like a credit card - all the purchases are free, except for that one-off payment in advance, to empty the card enough to let you put more on it.
No lightbulbs around here.0 -

Lightbulb is on and burning brightly, energy saving one of course.
Infact its nothing like a credit card. You pay a huge fee at the start £490 and you play anytime you like then for a year. Its costs £25 a round if you dont. Its a great deal as it as a corporate deal about £900 usually. I need to play 20 times in a year for it to be worth it. I have so far played about 50 and still have a few months to go.Debt free. So that's about 200 hours of golf? When you were talking about putting time back into family? Of course, it's none of my business - but then - you're the one posting this stuff.I have so far played about 50 and still have a few months to go.
I would love to spend weekends playing golf, but no way in the world can I justify taking four hours out of a day for my own selfish pleasure. Actually I tried to justify it, but my wife didn't buy it.0 -

You should all be lawyers , you are excellent at picking up every little detail. Ok not that I need to justify my spending habits, the way i raise my children or my hobby time, i will answer you.
I work shifts, therefore I am off during the day, I play when the kids are at school and the majority of other people are working. Its great, the best time to play, also known as millionaires golf, as you usually have the whole course to yourself. Playing weekends is usually a no no, the time with the kids issue, the course is heaving issue. This weekend is a competition, I have never entered one before but I thought I would give it a go.Debt free. March 2020

Is me playing golf this weekend going to cost me anything. The £490 was spent in apr. So again ho much is golf going to cost me this weekend.
blimey, does anyone spend money on themselves in here, has noone got any debt. Do you all just work, put it into a tin marked (do not open untill houses are 75% cheaper), and type on here and mock others for doing things.Debt free. March 2020

My bad for assuming you would playing golf the way I would have to, which would be weekends. I apologise* for confusing you with the typical part time dad, who can somehow fit a four hour round of golf, and possibly drinks afterwards - into a normal family weekend.
I think this lack of understanding, and jumping to conclusions, illustrates exactly why I could never be a lawyer.
*standard apology - messed up again - it's running at about once every three posts currently.0 -
