We will probably put the decs up the first weekend in december though if i can't wait (notice its me and not the kids :rotfl: ) they will go up on the 1st!
I used to take them down just after boxing day, but we don't go out on New Years Eve any more so now take them down New Years Day, I like the lights to still be up for new years eve.:D:santa2: Getting organised for christmas! :santa2:0 -
Ours usually go up about two weekends before (13/14th this year) and always down 12th night (6th Jan). Sometimes the outside ones go up earlier - depending on the weather.
Our wedding anniversary is 5th Jan so it's great to have them still up then. It also saved us a small fortune as the Church was still decorated, and we got married next to a huge Christmas tree.0 -
Ours go up the 1st Sunday in December, cheating alittle this year and putting it up on 30th November.... I leave it up there until as late as i can

we get our tree around the 7th dec, but our decorations are usually up for the 1st dec.
when i lived with parents our tree was up for the 13th dec (my birthday)
but now we all put the decorations up for the 1st dec (little brothers birthday).
some house near me have their decorations up already..0 -
One of my neighbour's have had their decs up for 2 weeks, okay i had to peer into their window to see them (i couldn't help it, i saw tinsel and had to look lol) and yesterday whilst visiting my parents a house had the whole caboodle, lighted windows, tree etc.
Mine go up the first weekend of december but this year i've got family staying for christmas for the first time so may wait until dec 23rd as i don't want my cats and kitten to ruin the tree too much

Ours go up about the 21st Dec, and are down again a day or 2 after New Year. Think we might even get a real tree this year, love the smell of the pine needles, really makes it feel Christmassy! :xmastree:0
