    Wow.

Kind of speachless about it. As you said, its not really a victory - someone has still lost something. At least its sorted out for you and dealt with, surprisingly fast.

And yet again, I am very proud and in awe. You have always shown a lot of compassion to others despite everything, and thats outstanding.
  • Hello Thanks for all your kind replies, CAB want to know if I want to proceed with a complaint agains the council, but Ive said no, as long as they understand I was in front with my rent arears payments and the threatened eviction threats gone then Im ok and dont want anything else done. I think theres been enough grief and in Ms Rs case pain its just time to let the dust settle, well from my viewpoint anyway, the other family I dont think will let go of the issue so easily but thats understandable as there loss is more recent, mine 3 years ago and time heals.

And yes Tigerfeet the dreaded SOA is nearly ready for publishing its of the  kind.

I need you folks to tweak it for me

Will post tonight and once again many many thanks

Anne who is of to scoff the last of the posh slices of ham OH bought for his sarnies this morning..think he might be disapointed at the egg mayo he has on them instead:D :D:D

  • Hi Anne - so pleased you got it sorted, I was worried! I think you shoudn't worry about the rottweiler too much, she didn't think of you when you were in her position, unfortunately power goes to peoples heads sometimes. I have done her job for 7 years and I reckon I have evicted less than 15 people in all that time. I consider it to be a failure on my part if I actually evict someone, my job is to work with them to avoid it. There is a mountain of training available (and unless she is a minion cos' they can't find anyone else) she should be qualified or studying for a housing qualification.
Just a quickie, make sure if they have cleared the arrears, have they wiped the Court costs? (about £295 and the costs of the baliffs warrant around £95 where I am) If this is the case ask for assurance your tenancy is reinstated to secure (if you are issued with a warrant your tenancy automatically becomes that of a 'tolerated tresspasser') if it's not you need to be aware those costs form part of your Suspended Possession Order and you have to continue to pay it until they are cleared or they would send you a default notice/warrant again!
Again, if you need any help with this - feel free to PM me x
  • Hi Marshmallow

Many thanks for the information have noted what you saidand will go and see the council tommorow.

When Im sure I have a secure tenancy and am free from any eviction threat Im going to move in with OH this has really shaken me up if Im honest but the first thing I am going to do is put myself on the exchange list and find someone who is living in a "cr&p" area and exchange with them as the area I live in is considered a decent one that folk would move to in an instant plus I have my own front and back gardens and the flat is large compared to lots of the councils other flats so someone might as well benefit....

I always assumed that once the arrears were paid off that the eviction was quashed and you returned to your secure tenancy automatically...:confused: I consider myself reasonably intelligent but this has been like walking in a minefield and hope to heck that in the coming months when folks income drop that there options are made more clearer by the council than mine were.
Im still smarting at what happened, its just begun to sink in :o:o still least now its sorted and I will make sure that what you have said above is done Marshmallow many thanks for that info.

Wow, Anne, I am so pleased things have worked out. And you do have a very big heart - I'm not sure I would have been as sympathetic to the Rottweiler as you have been :undecided:

    Hi Anne & M

Hope you are both well....Anne great news on the Council success. I must say though (like you) that poor Ms R must have some serious issues & whilst her actions were totally out of order...no-one wishes that amount of stress that she must have been suffering.

Thats behind you now..& a wedding??? news to me..you never mentioned that at the meet!! ...better get that hat ( I assume your OH knows about the wedding??!! lol :rotfl: ).

    Take care Honey,

    Angexx
