You can do Eurotunnel with Texco Clubcard points, I think.

I liked aferry.co.uk to do the price comparison. Then you can look for the company on Quidco afterwards and book direct i guess?

Hopefully i can contribute a bit, and help everyone get cheaper fares...

The Camping and Caravanning Club offer various great discounts to their members on the vast majority of Ferry routes and Eurotunnel crossings which exceed any 'discounted' fares which you may find on ANY of the likes of ferry savers, aferry, etc and even better than booking direct with the ferry companies..

For example the discounts they give off Seafrance and PO are 5% off their best 'public' internet fares. So bascially what you see on the ferry companies websites The Club give a 5% discount. Eurotunnel its 10%, Stena is 10%, PO Irish, DFDS, and Irish ferries its all 10% off the ferry companies best 'publicly' available fares. For Brittany ferries they have special deals on caravans and motorhomes on some sailings.

Obviously being a club you do have to join, and the yearly joining fee i think is £36. So if you go regularly or are travelling on one of the more expensive routes it may be worth the initial outlay to obtain the member discounts. I appreciate it will not suit everyone, however these fares in my experience are the best and cheapest available on the market.

Unfortunately i cant put a link on here, but if you google camping and caravanning club, then choose 'travel abroad'. This will take you into the bit where you can get a quote.

By the way it doesnt matter if you have a just a car because the discounts are still available to you, the percentage discounts apply to cars only, caravans and motorhomes.
  • Not widely know about (or maybe it is to Moneysavers!!) is the Sail/Rail deal. Basically £29.00 (each way) from any train station in the UK to Dublin and some other Irish ports. This includes the Ferry fare. This is a set price and doesn't have to be booked in advance.
  • I live in West Cornwall and normally travel down the west coast of France, not a lot of choice other than Plymouth to Roscoff. You can join their" Property owners club" which is well worthwhile if you go to France more than a couple of times a year. Still not a cheap crossing though.
  • Isle of Wight ferries run by Wightlink, which sail from Lymington and Portsmouth can be paid for using Tesco Clubcard vouchers.
