LLU is when another company takes full or part ownership of a line. tiscali do full llu and shared llu not sure what your on but it sounds like full llu. if you are then stopping your service with them would leave a stopped mpf (in english no line so recon fee would apply) BT are the only company as far as im aware that will take llu import orders meaning your stuck with bt for line rental for 12 months if you ask them to move you from tiscali.although this shoulfnt be the case as openreach have created a level playing field so you should be able to go to any other service provider but other providers chooose not to do the work.0

Thanks for this post. What is LLU?
What is the process for getting BT to take me back? When I called BT and gave them my Tiscali phone number and my address they could not "find" me...
the ironic part is people who come to your house and set up the phone line are coming from BT when you order a Tiscali line..at least this was the case with me..0 -
it is openreach that install lines not bt retail. They are all bt group bu have been split up. example you wouldnt call virgin media to check your flight times or ask when your trains coming.0

Whysohard you're lucky. I've had an ongoing dispute with Tiscali since February. They never answer emails - except to ask for information I've given several times already. Nor do they answer letters - even sent recorded delivery to their Chief Executive! They do ring up and try to "give" me Tiscali TV - even though I've told them many times that our exchange won't support it. I'm frightened to go to any other supplier as I can't be without a phone (my husband is elderly) and BT left us without one for three months.0

I decided to switch to Tiscali as my contract with Primus was coming to an end. I approached this with trepidation due to previous negative comments about them. However my son is with them and has been for about 3 years with no problems, but he has not had to deal with their Cust. Svcs. I gather they are about as bad as Talk-Talks. Anyway MSE Martin recommended them so I decided the deal was too good to pass up so started the process.
Fortunately they could not provide the deal as they say my exchange is not unbundled yet. I explained that my son was on the same exchange and that he was with them. They could offer me a service for BB but at a hugely inflated price. this went backwards and forwards and then I saw the 02 deal, with £60 cashback through Quidco. £7.50 per month unlimited and free customer service calls. Evening and week-end calls will still be free with BT so I've signed up with them and so far the service has been impeccable. The changeover takes place on 3rd Nov. so will let you know ifi all goes smoothly!"0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0 -

Martin only recommends on PRICE, and not necessarily on QUALITY of service.
Personally I can see the difference, but some, not aimed at anyone in particular, seem to blindly follow any recommendation.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
Tiscali. AGAIN - I cannot get my MAC...........4 requests and counting.
I have been with tiscali for a number of years and, on the whole, although they occasionally drive me crazy I have been happy (well - about 90%). But I live in an area where I can't get a bundled package - so started to look around for cheaper alternatives. there aren't any: BUT I can get broadband/phone call etc a LOT LOT cheaper with, supposedly, faster broadband.
Three emails/one long phone call/one returned call when promises were made and STILL 6 weeks down the road. No Mac.
Oh woe - WHAT canI do to make the s***'s give me the MAC?0 -

I took their alternative suggestion, as mentioned above, of saying that they'd breached the contract and the broadband was hereby cancelled.
The work was, finally, due to be done yesterday according to them. So, had I left it to Tiscali, i.e. not got BT involved, it would have taken 12 weeks to get the broadband. Slightly more than the '10 working days' the salesman promised. Recall that the phone line, which they did install as promised, was only installed in order to get broadband.0
