bump to get above spam today on here
  • My envelope for w/c 3/12 turned up today in a sorry state and was encased in a placcy bag with the usual apologies, which I thought was quite ironic considering the contents!

Anyhew, it looks as though someone had opened the envelope as the corner had been torn off. Do you think I should report this to Kantar?

Exactly the same thing happened to my pack one month . I reported it to Kantar I sent my envelope back to them and also emailed them to say I hope I would not be kicked off the panel as someone on here was convinced that the postman would know I was a panellist and mentioned that Kantar may sack me. Kantar's reply was that sometimes post gets stuck in the machines in the Royal Mail sorting office and not to worry as nobody would get into trouble (ie postie) and they thanked me for my continued work with the survey. So I wouldnt worry if you want to send it to them like I did at least they can see what is happening to the post.

Come to think of it......... I have had rips in my weekly pack on about 3/4 occasions. Once the corner was ripped, but mostly it's like the side of the envelope was slit. Their suggestion of it being caught in the Royal Mail machines is feisable, but my OH has a pack sent from his work every week of exactly the same size, same envelope and it has never been ripped, and he's been receiving those for years.

I think they should take the Kantar Operations address off the envelopes, although I do know that Kantar do market research for other companies as I have seen the name on surveys I have done, via other survey sites occasionally. Could use that as as excuse?!

Don't know whether anyone else replied but 5.30 am would be too early if you were supposed to post after 10 am and before 1 pm (or one of the other specific times) but should be OK if you are simply asked to post at any time before the last collection.
Yes, all it said was before last collection, at a post box so that should be o.k.

More help needed please.. On my posting schedule it says "FREEPOST REPLY SERVICE" and the same on the envelope. Posting type "Response Services." In the envelope there is a bit of paper which says "after checking and recording the information below, please put this insert back inside the test item envelope, before returning it to R I". Does that mean I put in the large grey envelope or the small one for SMART's (as it asks for a SMART to be included)? It just says FREEPOST REPLY SERVICE on the envelope and on the posting schedule. Posting type Response Services. Or should I send it on it's own without an address?

Ok I think you should be sending this out to someone (ie. It came in you posting pack)

So you need to add the sticky label that goes with it to the piece of paper and then put a smart in if you have one and then just post it as normal on the day it says on the posting schedule. Ignore the "after checking and recording the information below, please put this insert back inside the test item envelope, before returning it to R I" as thats for the reciever.

Hi Scottishlass - I have attached the sticky label with the R number on it and put in the SMART but there is no other label nor address. It's not like the others I usually send. No address at all, only "FREEPOST REPLY SERVICE" already on the envelope and the same on the posting schedule (also says Friday as day to post). I wondered if that is all it needs to get there? Or to send it back on Friday with the Large Grey or the small SMART envelope. Has anyone else had one of these to return?

If you board the wrong train, it is no use running along the corridor in the other direction.

Thats all I have on one of mine but I'm just going to post it as normal...and I'm sure I have done this in the past. If in doubt you've still got plenty of time to email them and just check but it should be fine.
