Just read there new extract from Frank and Stamp and it made me smile so thought I'd put it up here just incase you havent read it yetThis week a excerpt from the diary of stamp, on of the two very special bears in our London office.
24th November:
Sometimes, when you're least expecting it, the winter wind slaps you on the back to remind you that even with all the fur in the world, you can't always keep warm. Not that I have all the fur in the world. For one, my twin brother, Frank, has some of it. And I suppose that if you shouldn’t expect a winter wind in winter, when should you expect it?
I was thinking these things while Frank was spending an hour outside Hamleys, staring at the bears in the window, all of them sat in a row, snug and smug behind the reinforced double-glazing.
'Huff,' huffed Frank. 'They look pretty cosy, don't they, Stamp?'
'Oh, they don’t have it so good,' I said. 'Watching the world pass them by, while we're out living life to the full. So what if it's a bit chilly?'
Frank began to think about what I'd said but, as usual, something distracted him. Looking up, he said, 'Ooh!'
Frank says 'Ooh' a lot of course, so I prepared myself to be under-whelmed. However, in this instance, I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. We'd been stood there so long that the day had tipped into dusk and now the Christmas lights were flickering on above our heads. Barely (Ho Ho!) a few seconds later and Regent Street was ablaze with magnificence. Shoppers paused and ‘Aahed’ at the spectacle; children squeezed their parents' hands a little tighter and laughed. Topped-up with gumption, Frank and I span round to face those cosy bears in the window and we stuck our tongues out at them. ‘Life’s pretty good,’ said Frank, either to himself, or to me, or to the crowds on Regent Street, or maybe to the bears in Hamleys who couldn’t hear him anyway. Then he slapped me on the back like a cold winter wind and with a guilty chuckle we sauntered off, feeling pretty pleased with ourselves.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0 -
Hi there,
I got my first lot today, so have snaffled the stamps, got my letters ready, and am now planning register three post boxes (two lone ones and one at my local Post Office) once I have a note of the numbers. I am to post between 1 and last post, I think our last post is 2.15pm so will have to be efficient!
Will see how this goes.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't find it. When you get letters with the postmark already printed on it, no value or posted date, only a reference number on it, is it classed as franked or stamped?0

My envelope for w/c 3/12 turned up today in a sorry state and was encased in a placcy bag with the usual apologies, which I thought was quite ironic considering the contents!
Anyhew, it looks as though someone had opened the envelope as the corner had been torn off. Do you think I should report this to Kantar?
So glad that the stamps are due next week, according to previous posts, as I'd been pretty miffed if I'd missed out on those!Life's what you make it....

It's neither. It's a business posting licence.
So you select no to both questions/

:rotfl: :rotfl: @ Twosheds' post.
That's just the type of thing that would happen to me. I'd love to hear your Chinese phrases lol.0 -
I used to send back everything (including whole magazines and contents of bulky packages) in the return envelopes back to Kantar. But I then received a phone call from them telling me to stop doing this because it made the envelopes heavier and it cost them more. I was told to return only the wrapper and front cover of the magazines. So that's what I do now, and I have been on the panel for 11 months now so I must be doing something right...
Now the boring magazines just go straight into the recycling bin instead!:rotfl:Mortgage started July 2010 = £223,314
