I had a letter to post yesterday 16th March posted it at 10.40. Just had a query saying the post mark is dated the 17th March (today) am i sure that i posted it yesterday. Surely it must be a mistake at the post office who post mark them because how would it get there so quick. Surely commen sense would tell them it is a mistake on the post office and not me.

Usually the post mark is put on by your local sorting office, not the one which delivered it. That means the postbox might not have been emptied on the 16th.

This morning I realised I'd posted today's letter yesterday by accident - entered the right posting info but I'm sure they will query it!

I have had the same on a few occasions, there must be an error with the Post Office franking machine.:D
