josie ann I might be able to swap with you or something if someone can answer my question
I have a handmade card business and always post at the post office and ask for proof of postage
can I still ask for proof of postage if I'm using my own stamps ???
if the answer is yes to this then I'm quite happy to try and sort a deal out with you josie ann as I often use the large letter stamps for bigger orders
I have been able to get proof of postage when using stamps, they write it out on a card and stamp it instead of giving a printed paper receipt out of the machine

Yes, they weigh the item to make sure the correct amount is on then give a receipt for proof of postage if you ask for one

You can definitely use your own stamps & get a proof of posting - I do this regularly. My local sub PO has the white forms for this on display. I suggest if you are going to do this, it is useful to have a supply of these forms so you can fill in when you are preparing your post to cut down the time at the PO.
  • I had Frank to stay with me last week, I hope he enjoys his next visit.
Regarding the stamps, I was hoping I could swap the large ones for 2nds at the PO but it's not allowed. I now have quite a few and don't know what to do with them. What do others do that don't need them?

OOOOOH! I wonder if he'll ever come and visit me. I'm up for swapsies too as I use the large stamps for my ebay stuff. I did send something the other day with 17 1st classes on tho.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

if you want them to visit ~(the bears) you need to e-mail them and say you're willing to have them lodge for a few days.

I ended up saving the excess stamps last yr and used them on 3 xmas presents, the proper postage of 3 items was nearly £28.00, I only paid less than £1.00 (very mse)

Same here I ask for a few extra proof of postage cards and fill them in, helps them and I go out with a polished haloe!!;)
