rather like they decided to change the stamps we are given "after consultation with us"!!

The stamp change (from 12 1st+6 1st to 12 1st +4 large 1st) didn't work out in my favour, but I know it did for some other people - I don't remember been asked before they changed them and I think it worked out more in their favour in terms of cost?

    Saves them 8p at current prices. (6 x 36p = £2.16 and 4 x 52p = £2.08)

I had a mis-addressed item with a smart (incorrect name). Research International want the SMART back in the usual smaller SMART envelope and the envelope and contents returned with the usual receipts in the large envelope.

(Must be a lot of it about - wonder what happened to their computer system.)
This happened to me as well - they must have had a serious glitch!!
  • I have just completed my training (finally!) and received my first weekly pack, i'm unsure of a couple of things though - firstly it says i should receive a SMART return envelope but there doesn't seem to be one in there, is this a problem or will there be one in next weeks? secondly it says i have to post items back to them once a week in the plastic envelope, do they tell us what day we have to post it and where? and do we have to enter it online when we've posted it back to them? sorry if i'm sounding thick - i had a look on the website but couldn't find anything!

You should get a smart return envelope soon - theres usually one with your weekly pack and most weeks you won't need it - I've had to send plenty back. If you dont get one you can email them or click on the 'request stationary' and they will send you one.

The big grey envelopes you send back once a week on either Fri or Sat and you dont need to enter this online. - Just post in any post box.

You will find it is quite easy when you have done a few. I felt the same as you when I first started. They are helpful if you are worried over anything, I have emailed them a couple of times with the odd problem and they reply quickly

I had Frank to stay with me last week, I hope he enjoys his next visit.
Regarding the stamps, I was hoping I could swap the large ones for 2nds at the PO but it's not allowed. I now have quite a few and don't know what to do with them. What do others do that don't need them?

josie ann I might be able to swap with you or something if someone can answer my question
I have a handmade card business and always post at the post office and ask for proof of postage
can I still ask for proof of postage if I'm using my own stamps ???
if the answer is yes to this then I'm quite happy to try and sort a deal out with you josie ann as I often use the large letter stamps for bigger orders
