You know the presentation packs of stamps, what do people do with them? I've been using the stamps when I'm posting parcels, as someone told me ages ago that they weren't usually worth more than the value of the stamps. Has anyone sold any on ebay for more than the stamp values? Or any other sensible suggestions :.)

I always keep special issue stamps or collectors stamps as they may be of some value in the future. I see some people will sell them on EBay, but that's not for me.

Can't find an answer to this on the thread (briefly scanning through) and have emailed the peeps but no reply.
I got a letter sent to me, it had my address but instead of my 2 initials and surname it had a completely different persons name!! Obv i havnt opened it as not addressed to me but i know its a postal survey one and can feel a smart inside.
Anyone had this happen and explain why or what i do with it??

I had exactly the same so I emailed them and got the reply:

    Thank you for your e-mail,

There is a problem with the test item and smart please return in the normal manner, you will not be able to record the item

I take that to mean put it in the big grey envelope and return to them.

Yep, just pop it back in with the other items in the grey bag. x

I think you are to send the Smart back in one of the Smart envelopes and the test item in the big grey one, it might not be a good idea to send the Smart in the big grey envelope as it goes to a different department.:D

I had a mis-addressed item with a smart (incorrect name). Research International want the SMART back in the usual smaller SMART envelope and the envelope and contents returned with the usual receipts in the large envelope.

(Must be a lot of it about - wonder what happened to their computer system.)

I had that e mail and it is going to be a hassle. I am now thinking of stopping the whole thing as I can no way keep checking everyday for 3 weeks.

Yes, I've had that email, with new training instructions, hopefully the new training will be on the website as well as by email. I think it seems ok, it will work out fine once we start doing it, lots of aspects of this survey work seem complicated initially but I'm sure that if we're all careful to follow the instructions the first couple of times, it will be fine. And Joanne's always on the end of the phone if we get stuck.

I would suggest you wait and see how this all works out before you decide to resign. It may well not be such a big problem as it seems at the moment.

If we all find that the new way is too much hassle, perhaps we can persuade them to alter back - rather like they decided to change the stamps we are given "after consultation with us"!!
